The Battlefield: Hardline beta is comming soon, Electronic Arts remember us with these few screenshots as well as this press release.

We are excited to announce some details about the Battlefield™ Hardline beta! First things first: It's open to everyone and on all platforms - PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360®, PS4™ and PS3™.
Bust out those new gadgets, form new strategies and showcase your skills on two different maps and modes. First, take a test drive of Hotwire, an all-new mode coming to Battlefield focused on combining all-out warfare with all-out speed. This is how you introduce yourself to the new flavour Visceral Games is bringing to Battlefield with Battlefield Hardline. Or you can go all-out in 64-player cops and criminals warfare in the oldie but goodie, Conquest.
While it's just a taste of the whole game, there won't be a cap on the max progression level so whether you’re busting criminals or fleeing the cops, unlock away. The beta is your shot to test the different classes, toy with different gadgets, and find your crew to take down your foes.
To be frank, we want you to play this beta to death. We need you to. This test is only going to make the game stronger, and help us take a look at ways we can ensure we deliver the most stable launch you deserve.
So keep that feedback coming and head to the Battlefield forums at bit.ly/bf4forum. We've got our ears to the ground, and we'll see you on the streets of Battlefield Hardline soon.

Hated the Alpha but the latest YT videos have left me intrigued, it now looks FUN!!! Only thing though is that i'm seeing a lot of people on different sites either not commenting on this beta or comparing it to BF4's terrible release. It seems to be getting a lot of negative feedback from gamers, maybe the beta will swing people back in a positive direction (still think this game does not need the BF name tagged onto it).

There is not a tactical bone in the Battlefield player left. These sorts of games only work (are fun) when people are willing to play as a team. Battlefield hasn't been a team game anymore since Battlefield 3. Bunch randoms going for the top of the scoreboard with no regards for anyone else playing.

That's not entirely true, there is a lot of team work between randoms, but if you want a proper team play experience then you shouldn't play public servers.

Also I don't see what made BF3 any more "tactical".

This will bomb hard. Sad that Visceral will be the ones to be penalized by poor sales numbers and NOT Dice. Those a-holes were still clever enough to shift development to another studio. What are you afraid of DICE ?

Nonsense. I play for the top of the scoreboard and for the team. That's the only way to play for the top of the scoreboard in BF4. If you're not in an active squad leader, or at the very least in an active squad, you're doing it wrong. 8v8 double assault layouts, skilled match making, and a skill-balancer will only improve that.

WHAT? This isn't DICE's game and this is a ridiculous statement. I'm sure Visceral is PROUD of their work. Battlefield players already know Visceral's work too. They made the (fantastic) "End Game" DLC for Battlefield 3.

And they have other, non-Battlefield projects in their pipeline FWIW.

It looks more like Battlefield 4 now. I actually think it looks less interesting. There's more BF4 content coming, so why shift the focus to 64 player conquest? The new game modes were fun. Now it actually looks less original.

I love Battlefield and I'm sure this will be fun, but it seems rather pointless to me. There's more BF4 content/support coming. I'll play Dirty Bomb and BF4 instead.

Have they managed to 1080p the engine on consoles? (PS4/Xbone) Both console versions of B4 looked pretty shit graphically!

With each release, I miss the bad company games more. I really wish the team went back to that style of play, it wasnt trying to be realistic, more sandbox fun. Its so weird that the destruction in the older games are more realistic this these recent releases, not in terms of "how the destruction looks" but of what was destructible. Some walls you can blow up, but "these" walls next to that one can't? The emphasis on corridor shooting? Hope people are looking forward to this one get what they want, im just guna wait till they get back to Bad Company.

You're living in a bubble... too much BF4 maybe ? Even loyal fans to the series "refuse to buy a new installment anytime soon" after the numerous BF4 netcode issues. And to my knowledge BF Hardline is a collaboration work. Responsible for art direction: Visceral. Responsible for netcode ? Guess who ? DICE. Hooray ! So why not leave the sinking ship while there's still time...

Do you know how much work has been done on the backend of this game since its launch? Is the high frequency bubble a perfect solution? No, but Frostbite netcode is in much better shape than it was when BF4 launched. And it's in much better shape than Battlefield 3 ever was. Was the BF4 launch horrible? Absolutely. But post launch support has been stellar. This is mostly a credit to DICE LA. Tiggr engages with the community across the board, and CTE (the "endless beta") is a great initiative for the players. A lot of the headway that's been made on Battlefield 4 is precisely because of the loyal fans. Ya know, the people who are actively participating in CTE and making Battlefield a better game. The real fans.

Huge credit to Battle(non)sense as well, who identified many netcode issues and isolated potential solutions in his spare time.

No, I'm not "living in a bubble," I just actually know what's going on with Battlefield. Am I confident in Battlefield 5? Not really, because my confidence in tiggr doesn't directly translate to confidence in Demize. I hope that tiggr gets to sit on the BF5 design team. He's leaned a lot from running BF4 support.

Hell.. my primary lack of interest in Hardline is because we're getting another years worth of support out of Battlefield 4. Dammit DICE, how dare you?! If they ever finish the ranked matchmaking prototype, we will be in for a real treat. Skill based matchmaking on 8v8 double assault maps will be great for pubs.

Also: Frostbite is technically a separate studio. It's been spun-off from DICE.

@Grift I thought it looked more like BF3 tbh ;)

As for lack of people playing as a squad, well that's pubs i suppose, best to bunch up with friends on games like this. I do find it harder to work as a team, i said it ages ago that the speed of the game and everything that is going on in it can be quite confusing at times. BF now, doesn't give you much time to think like it did in the past and that's probably why you get a lot of stat whores going it alone.

Absolutely. For the console market at least. There hasn't been an FPS game I had more fun on last gen online on the 360 than BC2. DICE promised plenty for FB3 and failed to deliver for a lot of those promises. That's not to say BF3 and 4 are bad games. There was just something missing from them that BC2 had.

As for Hardline, they can keep it. Not interested in the slightest from playing the beta, and especially after some of the farcical nonsense with BF4. I'm looking forward to Battlefront, though. It'll be a refreshing change. Hopefully DICE deliver.

It's not about what state BF4 is in now, how stable netcode is now, how much work has been done since or how "stellar" how you call it support has been since, it's about the state it was in when it launched and PC players are no longer willing to buy half-assed half-finished games ! I'd rather drop anchor on a torrent site and play on a cracked server than buy a new BF again and prevailing opinion on my main forums is exactly the same.

There are plenty of ways to get your confined fps fix already. Why confuse Battlefield brand and not deliver on the most important aspect - all out war. No armor, jets, helicopters. What?

What is it with those screens. There seems to be a strange filter on it.
Its absent in the first screen, but you're right, its some type of horizontal lines, which make it seem like its being viewed through a security camera or some crap. The first screen looks very wierd though, i cant put my finger on it. The rest look good, but have that security cam filter thing going on, but look decent.
