Visually the lighting engine is a bit weak and it's a hair or two less defined than I'd like (I assume it's running at 720p but seems slightly below).
Overall I was impressed it handled well for a TPS and even moreso considering that it's made by JAP devs and the voice acting straddle the line of melodramatic but overall manage to not detract.
I don't know about Day 1 but based on the demo I'll buy it 1 day.
I really liked the squad morale stuff, even though you can tell how it works. Don't do one command, then that person will be giving "negative". Enemy spawns were way too much on the subway, didn't make for fun encounters.
The dismemberment and particle physics are excellent, that's the best part. They've finally figured out how to make fighting robots satisfying when compared to humans with all the gibs and the blood.
Like others I don't think I'll pick it up on day one, but will at some point for sure.
