I've finished Assassin's Creed II... I'm not even half the way through Mass Effect 2, haven't touched Darksiders or Bayonetta and next week we have Bioshock 2 and Dante's Inferno.
My wallet and social life are struggling to survive this year :S

Don't forget Aliens vs Predator, many look forward to that as well :)
Dont like the premise of playing a Big daddy throughout - the very first one, thats more advanced than any you came across in Bioshock 1. It just seems like it will remove the human element..and make it more of a run and gun game.
Probably will pick it up at some point, but for as much as Bioshocks one of my all time fav games i just cant force myself to be interested in this enough to want to pay full price for it day 1
Fantastic trailer, loved it, especially the end with big sister with her water control :D
But I do hate the fact that we have to play as a Big Daddy though.
One of the challenges and fun in Bioshock was to face a big menacing "thing" coming at you and you had to figure out how to take it them out, different ways if you so wish.
Now you are Big Daddy and regular enemies are a bit more like cockroaches compared to the first game.
We will see how it is. I do find the multiplayer fresh and unique, going to be interesting.
Man this game has really lost a lot of steam over time. They should have covered this game better.
I've lost pretty much any anticipation I had for this game.

i blame the fact it's a sequel that didnt need to exist.

Blame your wrong information, then, because it;s no a straight sequel, like you seem to suggest. It's a different story, 10 years later, with only mentioning of the story from the first one. It's pretty much a separate game, just in Bioshock universe.

and that is exactly the issue i have with it. if it has little to no relevance to the first game, why not just set the game somewhere else. for me, rapture was the key element of the whole game. it was amazingly thought out, and it was completely unique. recycling it and using it again in a completely irrelivant sequel just boggles my mind. they could have had something just as impactful as the first game, but instead we get this.
i dont get why bioshock needed a sequel...and this looks about as uninteresting as they come.
