Oh please, Stop being so melodramatic. It's value is relative. Plenty of people love to play black ops and will surely get lots of mileage out of these map packs.

I agree it's a bit steep but it's hardly a shocking last minute twist that Activision would charge that amount. Anyone still playing this is probably in need of some new maps but I burned out on the MP fairly quickly and I am baffled that people get that much mileage out of it, to each his own I suppose. I think I am possibly becoming profoundly fatigued by the whole FPS genre, it really is time for some greater variety in it at the very least.

theres 14 maps plus 2 zombie maps and single player in the original game. 4 map packs at 1200ms points is 60 dollars, so 16 mp maps and 4 zombies maps. hardly even, especially when u consider that making maps is a lot less work than making the actual game even when the game is pretty much already made and on the 7th installment. so theyre figuring the work they did is worth $60 even when they didnt put in as much work as say the ppl for cod4. so their whole valuing system theyre basing the price on is skewed. i only play this game when im bored or just to make time pass. i never really bought games unless i knew theyd b good or id get a lot of mp time. nowadays tho i dont really buy games at all, maybe 1 a year. i plan on getting skyrim when it comes out. theres just so many better things to spend money on and do. games just dont seem as worth it to me as they used to be, its like a lot of mediocre stuff is getting pumped out because so many ppl are going to school to make games. i wonder what the world would be like if there werent any video games. would those ppl maybe become scientists or something and actually use their intelligence to help ppl or would they still choose the career that made good money and was fun. sorry for the huge rant haha happy 4/20. the maps do look good tho maybe if it was like 600msp id get it.

Generally BO is a step bacward in terms of multiplayer in my opinion so forget about buying it for me. I did the same for MW2 DLCs. Stock maps are fun and i'm not interested in new maps only for such a prize (i/m polish so in my lovely country the price is even higher comparing it to other countries). Why there can't be new weapons, killstreaks and perks...

BFBC2 still rocks. Right after it is MW2 and MW1. Black OPS is a shame to multiplayer origins of the CoD series. Zero balance of weapons, perks and game modes. My huge dissapointmend. Hopefuly MW3 will be as good in terms of multi like MW1 and 2. Did You hear that it will be done on old engine?

You're assumption would be wrong. If you think it's a rip off, then great. Don't buy it. But don't get all superior over people who get value from it.If people didn't see value in it they wouldn't pay for it. If Activision didn't want to make money they wouldn't charge for it. If everyone bought it they'd hike the price up.

I don't see Halo Reach getting as much flak for there prices when these COD map packs are actually better value.

Also note that I don't buy map packs.

Sorry but i think your under the assumption that most people buying it are paying for it with there own money, there not, it's there parents money who pay for it to shut them up.
If most parents knew how little bang they was getting for there buck compared to past they would refuse to pay for them, pester power ftl.

Halo reach got tons of shit for there overpriced shit as well.

Plus CoD and Halo have got one thing in common that pisses me off, when they launch the games there is so little in way of maps on the games compared to years before that you feel like that additional maps should of been there from the word go.

It may be due to I am getting a bitter old fart in my age, but i just dont belive the content provided reflects the worth, hell these maps cost more than castle crashers, and fuck me, thats worth every penny.
