Xbox 360

Bungie has announced the third and final map in the upcoming Downloadable content pack for Halo 3, the Legendary Map Pack. Blackout is a remake of the Halo 2 favourite Lockout, and it is supposed to be a strict remake of it without too much changes made. There is more information on Bungie's site, while the first images are available here.

sure beats the typical halo 3 style, metal everything. good to see they've realised the halo 3 maps where crap and have started porting over the old stuff. halo 2 maps where great. just a shame we have to pay for them, especially when they're essentially old maps like this.

My favorite balanced map in Halo 2. Unfortunately, I miss the old design, including the fog and snow, as it really added more strategy to the map with lower visibility. I'll just have to see how this works out. By the way I really wish that they would bring back a few of the extremely large maps from Halo 1.

That really looks nice. I'm gutted and pissed off that I will have to wait ages before this becomes free.

Some straight ports of original maps would be nice. Oh how I miss Halo 1 Multi'.

Snipers on Boarding Action was hella good.

It's ugly a sin, for one. Hopefully it'll at least play like its predecessor.

Weapon placement aside, Guardian is better than Lockout. Halo 3 has some awesome maps really.. it's a shame that the playlists (last I played) seemed to be stuck on a small handful of levels.

This looks nice though. I look forward to it being free.

Then you've never, ever played Halo 2. Lockout was not only arguably the most popular map, it also came up the most often in matchmaking.

Yeah, you know, you're right. Halo 3 maps suck. Glad you can tell us this!

Keep your opinion to yourself. Next you're going to claim you actually have the game. Oh, please. Just like you said Gears looks blurry up close. Yeah. Good luck with that.

Now why can't MGS4 have this kind of detail? What a shame, especially considering Cell was supposed to destroy the 360. At least that's what Sony said. Unless they lied again, like they do every gen. I guess we'll never know.

You are one dumb mtrfkr. It's his opinion, which i share btw. Halo 2 maps were a lot better if you ask me. And then the MGS4 comment. pffff

Sorry, but I also have no idea what you're talking about. The majority of the maps take place in large outdoor structures like this. If you're talking about what the buildings are made out of in them, then yes, they're all metal, but I wouldn't expect to see wooden buildings in a game like this. And this one seems to have just as much metal, if not more than most of them?

From Halo 1? There were only 2 extremely large maps in halo 1, hell there were only two vehicle maps in Halo 1. One of which was sidewinder, and a remake of that is in this same map pack.
