My internet connection has had a rough two days, but I finally got online and got this teaser provided by Disney Interactive Studios'. It's a new Blackrock Studios project, the developers of the phenomenal Pure. The video has been up on Youtube in low quality, but this one is in close to HD. More details to be announced next month!

Yeah it's CG, but not bad for a little teaser. I saw this last week when it was leaked online. I'm just amazed that they're announcing this so soon after Pure. Hope it makes it out this Fall '09.

This could be a great alternative to Burnout Paradise. Since Criterion chose to abandon their fantastic Crash mode and took out explosions and other things from the game, it would be fun to have a more destructive and violent racer to mess around with. Maybe Blackrock will even have the balls to put drivers in their cars. Then again, this is Disney so maybe not.

that would kinda put me off. PURE was half decent the first time you played it, but it lacked something which made extended play a bit of a chore. they copied the SSX formula, but not quite enough to make it truely great imo.

for me, if it's like burnout of old (no open world please) then i'm sold. split screen is a must also (devs tend to ignore it in racers this gen)...something PURE was majorly lacking.

Would be more nice if they continued doing offroad games with cool environments... we already got good games of this kind ;p i'd rather have pure 2, first one kicked ass

No we don't actually. Burnout Paradise is the only good one lately and even that had some serious issues. I'd love to get some more good arcade and sim racers to choose from. Besides, offroad games have been covered well lately with Pure, Motorstorm 2, and the upcoming Fuel.

I agree. So you're making a racing game with cars? Whoa. Stop the presses. And the cars crash, too? Groundbreaking. Why not just call it "Arcade Racing Game 2009" and leave the trailer off?

Sorry, I'm just a bit disappointed by this after reading that it was the same team that put together Pure, one of the (slightly) more novel off-road racers of this gen (though it was very much like ATV Off-Road Fury+SSX).

Hilarious! You are right on there. This game couldn't seem more generic to me. Sorry Blackrock. This is not a trailer; it's a fail-er.

I only played the demos for both games but I have to agree that Pure seemed like a much more solid and severely underrated title. This trailer tells us pretty much dick about what this new title will be like though...

It's all about the online play nowadays (and CO-OP, must have CO-OP!!!!), completely forgetting that alot of people have REAL friends, that come round their house to play games on their consoles TOGETHER!!!

And yes, normally that is the point of a trailer IF they're actually showing the game with some detail in it. This was just a short CG clip to show that they'll be announcing the game on March 11th.
