Blacksite on the operating table
PC Xbox 360 PS3

Midway sends us additional screenshots of its first person shooter Blacksite: Area 51 already available in the United States for PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. Europe will receive this game in a little bit more than a week (Nov. 30). The Half-Life resemblance is hard to miss, but it manages to keep an inch of originality which helps dissociate it from Valve's classic.

These images are pretty big, and badly compressed. I'm not expert, but it looks like there are jpg artefacts all over the shop. Surely sending out smaller pictures would help a little with the aliasing.

Still, not a very promising game anyway.

that's right, those are some pretty terrible screen shots.

i hope they fix them, and i wonder which version that was???

cant say im seeing the half life resemblance, but that could be down to the fact half life had style, this does not. i'll give it a rent tho, its a FPS, i MUST play it.

Hm, I like the designs a lot. And the whole athmosphere of the game. Think i'm gonna buy it!
Well, I don't know how the first screens in this gallery looked like, but these now are cool. I liked the animations in the trailers. What about the KI? Didn't hear anything about it...

yeah, that definitely looks hot, but why is the pavement looking so Oreo Cookie?
It screams "look at our ability to use various cutting edge graphics!"

Self shadows are great.

It makes them more confident going into battle, when you have low morale, they are more cautious when you tell them to go somewhere, with high they run straight in.

To get high morale you do headshots or ask them to assist you

I think it's sorta ugly personally. The textures are all very.. shiny.

played the demo, and i dont know how they managed it, but its worse then the first demo imo. i kinda liked the first demo (minus the framerate issues) it had a sort of "resistance : fall of man" vibe. but now it plays horribly, it feels clunky as hell and graphically it looks like crap. maybe i've recently been spoilt visually after playing assassins creed, timeshift (crap game, amazing texture work) and ratchet and clank. but this looks and plays like what it is. a second rate FPS

as i said, i'll rent it. but after the demo i dont know if i even want to do that.

The second demo was terrible even worse than the first, this game should be avoided at all costs.
