I don't know how, but I know exactly what you mean. There's something about the shape of the lips and the look in their eyes and stuff. Incredibly difficult to put my finger on, but I see what you mean and agree. :O

The major problem with the main characters is that they appear to have make-up artists and hairdressers with them during battles. They should be bruised and battered, have stubble and scars. Instead they look very effeminate and seem more suited to the OC than medieval war.

They are armies in uniform, that tends to happen.

And what is wrong with liking PS2 games ?

I find the PS2 offers the best gaming around, even now.

Graphics are nice, but again it looks like your typical eastern art and character models. It also bares a striking resemblence to N3. It doesn't look bad, but nothing to write home about.

Goob job Koei. Way to make one of the most boring kinds of games as mediocre looking as possible.

They should consider LODdin the characters if they're having so much performance problems. No wait, they're already using the lowest LOD level for their foreground characters. Oh well.

Yea so was I, art style wise of course, I assumed that you mean it looked PS2 like by its typical Japaneseness.

I really don't think this game looks that bad, no worse than N3 for example.

I usually do like these type of art styles for these games, but I do agree with Slabs on the aim for a little more realism in the art. Gives more immersion for the aspect of war, and that the characters are human enough to be slain, especially since this seems to be more of a strategy game than a beat em up.

It looks good, but also bad. What they have is good, but they need to work on the materials, big time. The armor needs to shine and they need to get hi-rez normal maps in this beast.
