Majesco has released a dev diary of BloodRayne Betrayal that deals with Rayne's new look. The game is being developed by WayForward and will be released later this summer.
Never liked the series but this looks like a fun sidescroller, I like the redesign of the character as well, it's always nice when rampant fanservice is kept in check.
I Was watching the first trailer on my Xbox last night and surprisingly I found her not that hot, but now with thsi redesign Im on board, also that gore is awesome too.
Love the sprites but don't like the backdrops so much. They look a bit inanimate without any depth (though much colors were used, looking at the tiles) and too repetitive concerning the tiles. Especially disappointing, when you look at what wayforward did with Contra 4 or Shantae and i don't think the darker style of this game made those drawbacks a necessity.
Still looks like it's going ot be a fun game and new 2D titles are always something to look forward to. If the gameplay won't disappoint like Shank did, i'm all in.
