Images Xbox 360 PS3

Borderlands surprised everyone a few weeks ago by going from a standard art style to a comics one, and while waiting for some moving footage hopefully next week, here are 2 new images.

I've already seen these images, but for some reason they always look better on this site. The development team took a similar approach like the developers of Time Shift. They saw room for visual improvement and decided to scrap the game's art style and delay it until it's ready. I think we can thank Ubisoft's Prince of Persia illustrative art style as it's inspiring more developers to be more creative. I just can't understand why the developers won't use this style more in rpgs. It doesn't tax the hardware at all, and I'm sure no will complain if every rpg doesn't look like Final Fantasy XIII.

Thank goodness they decided to change the visuals for this game. Borderlands has gone from ultra-dull to ultra-stylish.

Looks pretty nice! The only Gearbox game I have ever played so far is Halo PC. I thought it was a fantastic port (wayyy better than Halo 2) and the multiplayer was really awesome (Death Island yaaa!). Never bothered to check out the Brothers in Arms series (not interested in baby sitting fps's). Hopefully they will release a demo for this.

The first image looks right out of Condemned 2.

It looks like a new age Crackdown. I don't know I like where it was going before, realistic. Oh well we shall if it's fun. Fun matters. Co-op does too. Does this have it?

You're not into squad shooters? But Brothers in Arms is so awesome and not at all having to do much micro management of your squad. They're pretty smart themselves. Give it a try, bro, great story and true to reality unlike the CoD games.

It also reminds me of XIII too from back in the day. It could potentially be a sleeping dragon of a game. At least the framerate should benefit from this type of graphical style, as pushing pixels usually means below 30 fps which sucks IMO !.

The first trailer they showed portrayed this title to be gritty and realistic and I will miss waht it could have been if they`d of kept with the original concept. Still, it looks like I`m gonna be buying more games than I initially thought for 2009, so I`d better get my wallet ready.

Poor old debit card lol.
