This is without a doubt, one of the most ambitious shooters to come along in a great while. If it lives up to it's full potential, this is going to be one of those games like Half Life, where you can chart on a time line of videogames, where you can say what shooters were like before and after it came out.

Definitely have my eye firmly fixed on this one. Just wish that it was not coming out on the same day as LA Noire. The last game that came out on the same day as a Rockstar game, completely got pwned - not because it was an undeserving game, Alan Wake stands as one of 2010's five best games, but simply because Rockstar as a company tend to own their release dates, and everyone else, should give them a little room, or risk getting crushed under the juggernaut momentum generated by Rockstar game releases.

i can't help but think that despite this games ambition. its single player is going to boil down to muliplayer maps with bots. i dont think it's going to deliver personally. still love the style of it tho. i just wish it was being applied to a game that didnt seem so....one trick.

Great comment, I hope for the best too. I'm not quite there with you that this would be as hallmark of a game, but is it for you because of the multiplayer and singleplayer merging? The S.M.A.R.T. movement changing gameplay paradigms (aim, shoot, grenade)?

To be fair, Rockstar are only the publishers behind L.A Noir but alot of people will pick it up regardless thinking that they made it.

Understandable concern. I'm more of a MP player anyway though so I actually appreciate that focus.

It is, the devs stated a while back that they didn't even create a female model for the game. Full on sausagefest.

Agreed completely. Love the art style for sure, but from what I have heard, what little single player this has will mainly be a primer for the multi. As someone who has never gotten into the multiplayer shooter scene, I can't see myself buying something like that.

This game looks amazing! Sort of like Mirror's Edge with gunplay. I have been anticipating its release for the past year or more. Cant wait!
