Seems very much like Halo with added Killzone enemies.

Seriously though...how many do we need? More Sci Fi shooters out there than Military.
I mean if you have a FPS in modern setting, modern military shooter at that...what do you expect from it to sets itself apart for unique gameplay from other titles? honestly i cant see much going for it. Warfighter, MoH2010, BF3, CoDs...all of them plays the same.
But then games like Biohock and Crysis does completely different things to FPS genre that does set them apart, and since you played both series i dont need to tell you the differences what makes them unique compared to other FPS out there.
I rather take games like Killzone, Halo, Bioshock, Mass Effect, Destiny..etc. were settings are unique and creative, a new world.
I also think the vehicle combat sets Battlefield apart from everyone else.
It's when they start to move towards a COD system when things get more stale. That is what is popular though.
At the same time it's not the fault of those behind the COD games either. They struck on something with perks, and just straight up action all the time. Everyone just wants a piece of that pie.
I also don't want to bring this topic down with bullshit about other FPS either. This game looks awesome and fresh compared to all the franchises you just listed (with exception to Bioshock).
I'm excited for it. Be glad it could change up and challenge the norm. They have all the resources to do it for sure.
And vehicles, also another thing that takes advantage more in MP, and I hate using vehicles unless its a way to get me from point A to B in very long distances.
Then again, i look at sci fi games like Halo and Killzone and they also do nothing special...I guess it is up to the devs to do something creative on the story around the character rather than building different worlds and have pretty art.
For example Halo 4 had awesome locations and all, but I couldnt play it for more than 3 hours because it felt like a borefest of a gameplay. Was nothing special I didnt experience from Halo Reach, with gimmicky tools like cloak, jetpacks...etc. that you could never keep and use anytime. If you could, then it would be a different story.
And Killzone, well its a run and gun with great artstyle and thats the end of it, nothing special whatsoever to the gameplay.
Now Destiny, Warlock is a class that seems to be something cool, going by the describtion they given us so I definitely look forward to that class gameplay.
Someone in the what's up box already wanted to compare this to everything else just because of a holo sight. Come on people. Look deeper.
My only concern is Activision's influence
The makers of Halo are making a not-halo Halo. I'm sure it will be top notch work, i was just hoping for something that would push Bungie beyond their comfort zone and innovate...this just kinda looks like more of the same, but far prettier.
So basically only 2 Halo games i liked personally.
Even devs with great trackrecord can fail at one point. Bioshock, Visceral, Team Ninja, Capcom, Rockstars, just a few.
