Criterion and EA released these images of Burnout Paradise, from an unknown version of the game (probably PS3).
Update:: Video added Update 2: Not even 24 hours have passed and we already get 8 new images and a video!
Looks really good. Well designed cars.
But looks better than GT5?? ... hm... not shure ^^
My top favorit of the series is the 2nd Burnout!!!
Hope it's gonna have a bit of that flair again!!!!!
the car designs are boring and generic *yawn* , well fits well with the gameplay of the series ,which in my humble opinion is just as boring and generic , but I hope for lovers of this kind of driving game , that they are content with what Burnout Paradise will offer them
The thing I hate about the Burnout series (just to make sure: I love the gameplay) is the fact the cars aren't real and somethng that for me brings the game down a bit.
Yeh i don't think they'll allow a co 2 use their brand and then completely demolish it :D
I think the cars look great, and from vids i've seen they seem 2 have more weight behind their driving physics... really makes maneuvering (and crashing) look more realistic
Burnout is pure arcade madness. There's absolutely no reason to have photorealistic graphics when you won't be able to notice any of it while traveling at blazing speed and with motion blur. PGR4's graphics are overrated. Game doesn't look as good as trailers. I still prefer PGR3.
The cars aren't real because of licensing issues. No car manufacturer wants to see their car being torn to pieces. It doesn't bother me one bit that the cars are "generic" because it's all about the gameplay. As far as I'm concerned, no arcade racer holds a candle to Burnout.
The first two games were great purely because they wanted you to do one major thing!.........AVOID the oncoming traffic!
They seem to have gone off the rails, making people hit vehicles etc and for me it has taken away the sheer `danger` levels which the series was built upon. Lets just hope that the effort has gone into rebuilding their once `nerve-wracking` game.
I always wanted to play burnout since i love racing games and the series is critically acclaimed, then I did and hated it. Burnout is not a real racing game, it's for people who don't normally like racing games because they're too hard.

that statement is so ludicrous that this is all the response it deserves.
Looking snazzy but lets hope EA doesnt whip Criterion so much that they are forced to release their first 30fps-and-still-runs-like-crap EA racing game.
Montgomery haha, all I think of is Montgomery Burns and the father from Dharma & Greg.
I agree with fr0sty, it was the dont-blink thing in Burnout 1 and 2 that made them great. You'd be driving fast as hell and all of a sudden hit a car that was blocked from sight by yours or came round a corner and jump a little in your seat.

EA must try harder to impress me and stop using CGI for ever.
