You don't have to like it, but it's clearly not the same. Gears3 will be more similar to Gears2 than this will be to MW2.

At least we'll get new settings and some good shooting mechanics. I always liked Treyarch CoDs, so I'll have to get it too, when the price drops.

I didn't see a single thing in that teaser that would lead me to think that.

Nope. Aside from the dismemberment(which should be in every game), it looks like a MW game....even if it's not so modern. I'm sure a MW2 trailer edited similarly would look easily as interesting.

While I might agree with the year after year part, I do NOT agree with the same old shit aspect. Like someone else pointed out, Gears and many other franchises on both platforms are just as, if not far more guilty of sequals with even less variation.

Plus, if the game sells a million plus copies (which it will easily) then obviously there is a large demand for what some find yawn-worthy.

I hate guitar-hero and rock band, don't see why the hell people like those games, but I also don't act like or think that there is something wrong with people for playing them. I just get annoyed at how it has become "cool" to bash anything Activision related, no matter how tasteless their publishing practices tend to be.

It seems the way people react to CoD is the only thing more "same old shit" than the game design itself...

i'm still getting a universal soldier, Assassins creed, sci fi feel about this..like he's in the future being quized on past memories that we'll get to play out. (whatever happened to that Jacobs Ladder game?)

Definatly wont be buying another COD day 1 though thats for sure..not with all the glitches that filled MW2. I'll wait till the multi's patched and polished thanks..and get it cheaper for my trouble.

This is gonna have to push the eye candy..MH's gonna be coming at it strong

If this game goes through many different eras, I wonder how, or if, that will be applied to mutli-player. If, for example you have a multiplayer map with characters models set in the Vietnam war era(which they better), it would be silly have someone running around with an Aug or a SPAS, both of which weren't around until the late 70's.

Perhaps the multiplayer is restricted to one era? So long as it's the Vietnam war era, I don't care.

OR perhaps more interestingly, maps set to certain eras restricting weapons.

multi would probably be era restrictive. But everybody wants more Zombie action anyway..so i dont think a need for realism will be too much of an issue

That would prevent me from getting tired of multiplayer by the fifth match =)
