I liked CoD:WaW better than MW2 because it wasn't so over-the-top action minded. So I was hoping that this new iteration from Treyarch would be along the same lines. But seeing this launch trailer, it's going to be MW3...

gotta say the game is looking awesome..i'm always surprised how they keep polishing that engine whilst keeping it 60fps. From what i've seen of the facial animation i think it's another step up over existing games... yes, even uncharted 2 *runs*

Importantly, i know the games going to be fun to play

going by GTTVs Episode, it looks better. But I'm a little burn-out of this kind of games. especially after MW2 shitty online makinh it a bad purchase in the value factor.

i'm one of the very few millions that still enjoys MW2 online. This should be more the same. And when you consider activision chart £10 for 3 maps i reckon as long as this has over 6maps on disc you're getting value

meh. visually it doesnt look too great (as with all COD games) they really need to upgrade their engine, or make a new one. christ, just do SOMETHING with it. as for the rest, well, looks like the same old same old. i'll pass. maybe next year it'll feel like something new? untill then the series is dead to me.

Hmm, I think it looks great visually. The modeling is friggin' top-notch. I will rent this for the SP. Still, COD MP wasn't bad for it's mechanics, it was bad for it's design. If they kill the kill streaks and some offending perk combos, it would be fine...

Getting it for PC, hell it's only £29.99! i spent that on drinks in like 3 hrs down the town last night ;)

they just need to go back to cod 4 in terms of multiplayer, keep it simple, a nice amount of awesome maps, use the old perks, use the old killstreak system, and it'd be fine. but that sadly wont be how things turn out. we'll have a low amount of terrible maps, it'll be overcomplicated, and it'll have the shitty MW2 killstreak system. yey for call of duty. you just gotta love it. that's not even mentioning the pathetically short campaign that will be only worth playing through once, and all running on a dated engine...they need an overhaul imo. almost a start from scratch approach.

I agree with you for 100%. But as you know, we are talking about Activision and Bobby KotDick. So expect the same next year with a pay-per-month multiplayer.

Guys, you should know that they have Barebones Playlists, meaning no perks and no killstreaks. They also have Classic Playlists, which has the killstreaks set like COD4.
And I think the perk choices they have will make a huge improvement to the way the game plays. No juggernaut or stopping power.

Also KORNdog, I disagree about the engine, I think it still looks really great.

As usual gotta finish it on veteran and then wait for BC2:Vietnam. SP is like a good yet mindless movie and I enjoy it every year.

yeah it is but stupid cheap bots & AUTOAIM(NOOB TOOL) destroys the SP of COD games for me. veteran is almost impossible wthout AUTOAIM and before i use AUTOAIM i rather die.

No, not true. They list the resolutions. I don't know where you're looking but it lists the resolutions. The problem is that the 360 only supports so many resolutions properly, so when a game runs in between those resolutions, it's going to be listed as the closest one, usually 720.

The game looks fine, and runs great. That's the focus in the engine, so if you want a looker, go for Crysis or something.

you'd think it would look more then "fine" for a series that makes over a billion dollars every year. it suffers from halo-itus. it's a game that SHOULD look amazing considering the money that goes into it, but doesnt for some unknown reason.
