Trailer PS5 Xbox Series X PC

One of the surprise announcement during Sony's Future of Gaming Show was Capcom's new IP Pragmata. The game is set on Earth's Moon in a dystopian near-future. Besides the trailer and screens, the details are scarce since the game won't be out before 2022 for PC, PS5 and Series X.

This looks a lot like a Kojima game, at first I thought if it was Death Stranding 2 or a new IP from Kjima Productions. Glad to see Capcom investing in new IPs, same for Square Enix. The beginning of a new generation of consoles is the perfect time to invest and try new ideas. Hopefully it's a great game.

I am quite surprised with just how much ray tracing is going on in these games! Pragmata, Stray, Ratchet and Clank. Gran Turismo may as well be retitled to "Ray-Traced Reflections: The Game" lol. And those are the ones I can remember off the top of my head. And Pragmata doing it at 60fps! Impressive.. MOST Impressive...

When I saw that eye closeup I knew it wasn't Kojima productions. :) This looks interesting but it is too far off and who knows what it will be in the end.

Doesn't look that impressive and most certainly won't look much better in 2 years time either, even worse if it gets pushed back more.

they were all using screen-space reflections. same with this title. (5th screenshot has screen-space distortion)  ray-trace reflections retains identical quality and consistency from any perspective. reflecting all detail in it's radius.

I'm pretty sure these titles are using it. Coming off of Marcus Smith flat out saying so during the Sony presentation for Ratchet and Clank, and also the typical dead giveaway of off screen elements being reflected. In this game in particular you can see the girl's eyes reflecting things that are off screen and also the space suit's helmet reflecting off screen elements. You can also catch glimpses of the puddles reflecting signage in the world that are out of frame. And all of the puddles don't feature any of the warping and occlusion we generally see with SSR. None of that would be possible with SSR. Even the image you call up as an example I'm not seeing typical screen space distortion. That simply looks like a material that the diffuse has been turned up on because they didn't want it to be super glossy. But looking at any of the games I mentioned they feature the type of almost mirror like reflections that you get with ray tracing and zero sign of the occlusion distortion that you very easily run into with SSR.
