Exclusive DLC is fucking stupid.. it does nothing but infuriate the people who have bought it on the other consoles

It is what t is mate. Get used to it. Just do what I do, Every game that gets launched with planned DLC, I just ignore until its price is low enough to justify paying for the DLC or better yet. Wait for a Game of the Year Edition and get all DLC for free.

Now, if all people did that, this nonsense of exclusivity on both consoles will stop!

And as for the ManThatYouFear comment, seriously as i tell everyone its a fucking song, its not to be taken seriously, its a song i love and when looking for gamertag on ye olde xbox i chose that because it was next to me( the cd case was), since then i just stuck to it, seriously you think i am 12 or something and expect people to be trembling at my internet knees? fuck no... sure we had this conversation about 4 years ago...

Anyway.. as for DLC i would of been interested in this, but obviously cant buy it now, unless of course they expect me to pay the same price it is now in 6 months time when ps3 finally gets it then..no i wont pay it and just ignore it completely, there loss.

I dont mind some DLC, borderlands for instance had some great DLC but other games its just lame uncharted 2 for instance.. map packs, and not even any CoOp maps either.. lame cash in crap, fallout 3 some of them was ok, short.. but ok, i would not of paid for them but i got the GotY edition last crimbo :)

He probably meant the 360 is the dominant platform in terms of software sales...which it is by a country mile.

love it that when exclusive dlc (and its always usually timed "exclusive") is because evil microsoft is paying of the devs. But when the ps3 gets exclusive dlc its because sony loves you.

Exclusive dlc is a joke though, and hardly the "reward" it attempts to be marketed as. Its simply used to A. push software sales on a specific platform (in the case of the ps3)..making it look a more attractive proposition to those with multi platforms. B. used to make money under the illusion of treating existing fans (as is the case with this for the existing dead rising fanbase on 360).

It will probably hit both consoles in a GOTY edition in 6months. Atleast ps3 owners should take comfort that they generally dont have to pay for their exclusive dlc (which usually does stay exclusive) where as 360 only owners are charged the same amount for less content.

Yeah, I don't think Dead Rising 2 will get a GotY edition. I also think Capcom lost a lot of cash by not releasing Case Zero and Case West on the PS3 and PC. The audience is definitely there, especially since neither of those actually require Dead Rising 2 to play.

Apart from Assassins creed i cant think of any exclusive DLC the ps3 has got, and i cant recall ever praising it if and when it did, fuck exclusive i dont care what machine gets it, its wrong. exclusive games fair enough but dlc ?

RDR, Batman AA, Dead Space 2, MoH, and Mafia II are what come to mind.

Why though, please tell me why the dev would logically think limiting there sales to one machine is good unless ms/sony are paying for it?
don't give me that dominant platform rubbish, because your still limiting your sales,it's not like xbox sells 90% more of any game on there console making it only worthwhile to make on xbox,even bayonetta sold close to equal ammount and that was built like shit on ps3
but dlc for multiplat games been exclusive, it ... it just dont make sence.. all it does is make you think the dev is saying "fuck you, your fault you did not buy it for our preferred console" almost like the devs are trying to keep these "console wars" alive
How is our hobby ever going to get mature as long as the devs/pubs/manufacturers are pissing on each other and its consumer..

Again... VERY RARELY will the 360 get EXCLUSIVE DLC.. it's usually TIMED - which makes sense because the developers/publishers obviously benefit from the extra pocket money of timed exclusive deals or they wouldnt keep doing it.

It's SONYS machine that gets the exclusive dlc.. for the reason i already stated - to help generate more unit sales on the console as games dont shift the same numbers as they do on the 360.

Oh and Jackdoe you can add Mirrors edge to that list too.

I thought the point of this one was that they assumed there was no market for PS3/PC buyers because they didn't have DR1. Not saying I agree with their choice, but there is some logic to that argument.

I have a 360 and PC, but I'd much prefer to play on PC, so this frustrates me. But more frustrating is I'm sure they've changed Frank's voice actor!

that logic is horse shit, why give the ps3 and xbox 360 resident evil 5 everything before was on a diffrent format, last gen or not, a lot of people who bought resi 5 are new to gaming this gen, and had no idea of the story
