Gamersyde PC PS4 Xbox One Wii U Xbox 360 PS3 3DS Vita

It's been a pretty busy summer in terms of homemade videos. Of course, there was Gamescom in Cologne, which allowed us to bring back a lot of content, but we also covered almost every possible release in the past two months. Because the team is not getting any bigger, the French side got a bit more content than than the English side, but we sincerely hope you still appreciate the effort. More to come in the coming weeks, with the release of long awaited titles such as GTA V obviously, but also all the other games which will ship between now and the end of this year. Next gen is around the corner and we are rather excited to see what the new consoles have in store of us. However, the next months will also be fateful for us, as we still need to see if Microsoft and Sony will consider us worthy of a debug consoles as they did in the past. What's important now is that we are truly motivated to continue our work for as long as we can, and with all the projects we have in mind for the website, we can only hope we're given the opportunity to make them come true. Many thanks to all of you and special thanks to all the developers who have always shown us how supportive they are of our work. We wouldn't be here anymore if it weren't for all of you.

I wish Gamersyde long life and prosperity.

Gaming site that aims to always bring the best quality videos and screenshots to gamers is a rare thing these days.

@Driftwood

I also wish Gamersyde a long and prosperous life, but one thing you said got me curious: "However, the next months will also be fateful for us, as we still need to see if Microsoft and Sony will consider us worthy of a debug consoles as they did in the past.".

Firstly, sorry for my ignorance in the recording/testing hardware, I know some debug models have more memory, but besides that, why do you guys and/or gals need debug consoles? Aren't they just for the development of games and homebrew applications?

And last, but not least, Microsoft said that every Xbox One will also be a dev kit, so that only leaves Sony, of which its PS4 dev kits cost US$ 2.500, but is giving them for free to small developers which register for their program, forgot the name of the program, but all the information is in their Playstation's site.

Again, sorry for my ignorance in the matter, just wondering how Gamersyde would benefit from having debug consoles, since this is the first time I ever read that a gaming press/media outlet site needs one. As far as I know - which isn't much in this case, hence all the above questions - all gaming sites work with retail consoles.

Debug units run preview and review code. Retail units do not. No debug unit would mean no "early" reviews or previews of games. They'd be playing the games when we, the common gamer folk play them, by which point, previews and reviews become a bit...pointless.

A dev kit is something different.

Thanks for the reply. And sorry for the confusion between dev kits and debug consoles. I follow the gaming industry very close, but never knew this about debug consoles, I don't know much about the reviewing/previewing side of gaming. Living and learning.

Now I really hope both Sony and Microsoft send Gamersyde some debug consoles. Plus, with an emphasis on 1080p60 on next gen games and this being the one site I know of that actually does 1080p and/or 60 fps videos with an excellent quality - the closest quality to what you see playing, Gamersyde definitely deserves debug consoles.

Let's all hope for the best.
