Xbox 360

Sega released this trailer for Chromehounds, presenting some new features in the game. This means that we in one day has covered the full frontpage here on Xboxyde, and I really don't remember when that happened last time. Kind of reminds you that it's only one month left til the opening of the E3 expo doors!
Update: 21 images added & 16:9-corrected trailer online.

It's not 4:3 its 16:9 anamorphic.. meant to be stretched by the display like normal widescreen SD (DVD, videogames etc).

Perhaps they forgot to flag it 16:9 or your player software ignores it.

Hey guys, I know you've been working hard, but can you get a hold of the Brothers in Arms scans. I saw some images today that left me in denial. Your site always has the best images, so can you clear this up. I think alot of people will want to see this.

I can't see why more developers don't release teaser trailers of this quality. I mean how hard can it be to build up anticipation with a descent video. That way I won't have to wonder how the game will look in action on my 360. I hate to guess.

For me the only bad things are:
It looks slow
and the water effects.
Otherwise, it's ok.
I would prefer to have outof mech combat too, but i daubt that'll happen.

Now THAT'S a real mech game, not mobile suit gundam crap. That looks very impressive in all regards.

@Myro, the game is going for a bit more simulation style kind of game, not Mech Assault. I think that's why it looks slow, but I'm ok with that.

The only thing that sorta made me cringe was at like 41 seconds you see that water splash up effect? It looks too controlled for it to be a realistic splash if anyone gets what I mean by that.

And I notice some slowdowns at times, but I'd like to know if these are few and far between or if they happen often and mess with the experience. I'd have to see some nice quality gameplay video to make sure, BUT the game graphically looks pretty damn good I really like the lighting and everything and the explosion effect.

Right lebato after thinking about it they are going for a simulation type deal with this game so the slow thing is not a big deal and most likely that water splash wont be enough to mess with the overall experience. I agree with ya.

They didn't go cheap on the textures for this game at all it all looks pretty awesome.

THe trailer looks like it has been stretched, you can tell by the zoom reticle and the raidar boxes(the circles are eliptical and the radar box is rectangular instead of square). Should reencode it in widescreen.

Anyway, game is looking really good. Hope it actually turns out to be fun.

Re-encoding loses quality and wastes bandwidth. What you should do is hold SHIFT while stretching your player window to squeeze the video into the correct aspect ratio.

Just to specify, if youre using something like VLC go to settings, video, tick advanced options, source aspect 16:9, save.

I seem to have lost the ability to stretch videos (ignore aspect ratio) in mplayer2 or mplayer classic.

The game has come a long way in the time since we've last seen footage. It has that gritty, Steel Battalion look, and I love it. =)

You guys should re-encode this video at 16:9. Everything looks too thin as is now, but I played it back in forced 16:9 via BSPlayer and it looks perfect.
