Edge of Reality (Shark Tale, alot of N64 ports) has announced Cipher Complex, something that according to them will be a "totally original IP". You're, as John Cipher, called in by the US government to research behind enemy lines, after a recon satellite is mysteriously blasted from orbit and when no information is given by any country you're permissioned to do it the Die Hard way. They are also promising some great team-based multiplayer gameplay. The game will be released next year on PS3 and X360, and here are some artworks.

Commented on 2006-06-24 12:52:13But since only artworks have been revealed and it's likely that the next thing to be revealed will be a CG movie of some sort, this game is still a very tiny opponent against the heavy weight giants of the sneaking-business, i guess all that we can do is wait at this moment.
Commented on 2006-06-24 13:29:19nice concept art though ^_^
very splintercell-ish, but as splinter cell is a nice game that`s not necessarily a bad thing...

Even stringing together the complete words "totally original Intellectual Property", is a rather awkward way to introduce a game concept. But just how many normal people were supposed to know what the heck was meant by "IP" in this context. I find this weirdly annoying.
