People seems to moan about the price a lot. If you don't like the price then you don't need the maps. But if you play the game a lot then 1200pts is more than worth the price. It actually works out better value than the Halo map packs.

for the amount of time people spend on cod:BO its very worth it.

It's a shame map packs are getting so pricey. Sure it's not a lot of money for most people, but when you consider that it's only being raised b/c they simply can get away with it it's a shame.

Especially due to the fact that this game is the best CoD since CoD4. Far better than WaW and MW2 imo.

It might be cool to hate on this franchise, but there is good reason so many games like Killzone etc are blatantly copying so many aspects of the CoD formula...

@ nietzsche yea and its not even like it costs anything for them to distribute it to justify a higher cost. and more ppl would probably dl it if it was only say 800 and theyd probably make more money in the end. o and its not even like they havent made a ton of money from milking the shit out of the franchise. i dont understand y all the games after cod 4 werent just updates and map packs

No it's not. The fact that a full service copy of MW2 is still hovering around $90 (including the DLC, depending on where you buy it) now that Call of Duty 2010 is out (number five in five years) borders on ridiculous. The franchise has not grown one bit since the Call of Duty 4, either, unless you're keen on FPS being so easy to play that you don't even need to fire a gun to come in first place anymore. Playing the game a lot does not make their price gouging any more appealing, especially when support far greater than they're offering anymore used to be free. Oh, and the irony of whining about whining must be completely lost on you.

The people complaining about people who have legitimate complaints about something are usually just as noisy.It would be especially easy since they're all basically the same game now anyway.. but they'd rather have you re-purchase them.

Call of Duty is pretty much dead to me after this game anyway. I respect that Treyarch put a lot of effort into pleasing people who were dissatisfied with MW2, but removing killstreak stacking and a few more abusive perks alone didn't do the trick. The game is still totally broken. What's worse is you can't even search for barebones servers on the PC. Why would you finally give us a non-noob way to play, yet not let us actually find those servers in the browser? Yuck. Release the promised mod tools, fix the performance problems, and just add a damned barebones filter and we might have the best modern call of duty period. Otherwise it's just another broken pub game.
