While Kingdom Come has already reached its goal, another indie project that is worth a look is Aderyn's Cradle from Mojo Game Studios. The CryEngine-powered PC project is on Kickstarter and is described as an open-world fantasy adventure game with an environmental experience and a new type of strategic first-person melee-combat. The story deals with humanity's relationship to religion and nature. The player controls an exiled traveler caught in the middle of this struggle with 5 classes available, 5 distinct environments and some upgradable stuff. Get a first glimpse with the trailer and screens and more details on the Kickstarter page.

makes no sense the balant trolling for the topic at hand. Cryengine will rule the best and most used top-tier engine this generation, if it's the Best there could be matters not, in the abscence of no real competition of quality at hand. Unreal Engine 4 will survive, but it's not "best choice. only choice" like it was for any dev last generation... how many kickstarter games are there on UE4 actually, vs. Unity and CryE3?
Historically, if you look at generational shifts in console gaming they've always been "underwhelming", with the exception of the change from 2D to 3D (PC isn't factored, because the shifts are SO GRADUAL, nobody really notices).
I suspect all of this hoopla over "rawr, itz not teh next gen! rawr I been robbed!" will go away once people (developers) actually get comfortable with the hardware and actually have time to work on it without; a moving target, launch dates to hit and having to support the previous generation.
