I'm not sure how long this has been in development for, but I'm liking the way VR games are being shown in concept, then a couple of months later either a demo appears or the full game is released.

How fleshed out an experience is this? Because I sank $60 into Eve: Valkyrie pretty much sight-unseen and really don't feel it's worth that much money considering the amount of content, and even the depth of the gameplay (from what I have seen so far at least). If this is another pretty tech demo with not much depth, then I will pass for that price.

I have no idea why would you bother with this game unless you're some crippled climber wannabe. Countless ways to do EXACTLY the same in real life.

I think this would be interesting even if you already do it in real life. VR needs to be all about choices and variety. There's no limit to what can be done and games like this should exist.

Oh, some nobody is trying to be witty with his insults, i'm flattered.
There is no need for this game unless you have severe disabilities or obesity, in this case i understand NoClipMode and KORNdog disdain. Sorry for your physical conditions guys, we feel you.

i think he was getting at the idea that most games you are doing stuff you could just do in real life. why buy fifa when you can just play football, why play cod when you can just join the army, why play dead or alive extreme beach vollyball when you can just have a girlfriend. lol it's a fucking moronic argument.

I like the VR aspect of being able to look around while you climb, but this game still looks boring as hell. I can't get behind a perpetual climbing game. Climbing has always been my least favorite part of every game.

I think most play Fifa because they can't play at the Santiago Bernabeu or the Camp Nou with Suarez and co, banging in wonder goals. Some also don't particularly want to join an army to get their legs blown off pretending to call in a care package. Ditto with rock climbing. Much safer on the sofa. Yeah, it's a moronic argument to try to put forward as a reason to play a video game based off of real life activities.

I've a fear of heights, so this might at least let me experience a little of what it's like to be hanging off a ledge 500ft off the ground.

In VR if the height and jumping can make it realistic I guess it can be good for a while. They should have full body modeled. Mirror edge does a good job in this regard. Hear you see the parm only which is weird

The difficulty with having 1-to-1 tracking the hands is that you also need to have that translate all the way down to the joints of limbs and onto the body. If not, it results in some very weird and unnatural movement of the limbs, and even some clipping. That's worse than not having the body there at all.
