PS2 Xbox

After yesterday's Xbox 360 images of Just Cause and requests of current-gen version images, here are around 100 images from the PS2 and Xbox versions of Just Cause. It looks simply amazing, the PS2 one is just ... wow.
Update: The game in-motion doesn't look nearly as good as these screenshots, so we'll just have to wait for real images.

It's the Playsyde watermark, for PS images.

I can't believe how wonderful the PS2 version looks, looks like a different game. Almost makes you want to buy that version too.

See, this is why I'm not worried about the Wii's graphics performance. You can tap these consoles SO MUCH, and with the PS2 doing that, imagine what the Xbox would do if it got a decent lifecycle. Apparently the Wii is similar to the Gamecube in terms of programming, and looking at RE4.. I mean..

I'm not worried, that's what I mean.

About this game, initially I found the demo to be fairly restricted in what you can do combat wise, but once I stopped minding that and started following the objectives it got pretty crazy. I'm still not fond of not being able to duck and having to jump before I roll, but the vehicles and the going up and down, into and out of the sky keeps it deliciously dynamic. Reviews will have the final say. 7+ and it's a buy for me.

Nice to see a new take on the hero design too. Oh and nice to see a hero and not a street thug for once.

I can't believe the PS2 version looks this good. I didn't even expect the Xbox Version to look as good as the version shown on the PS2 shots. If this is really how the game looks like on current gen systems then major kudos to Avalanche.

I agree with john.

This look a bit better then this gen,but then again, these dev has had the hardware for a long time now, they know how to take advantage of it to the fullest.

There is a BIG list of differences for the 360 version somewhere, I would imagine it becomes easy enough to see when moving.

these are all dev station shots, thouched up with AA and shit, like the screenies on the back on N64 boxes that look nothing like the actual game, should look similar tho, sign of a well programmed engine

Well for one if the xbox and ps2 games were shown in high def they'd probably look a lot worse than the 360 version in HD, but that's not going to happen. These are very good looking none-the-less.

There are some vids of the ps2 and xbox versions just up on IGN. I watched them and saw a big difference, but these screens don't look too different.. strange.

PS2 and xbox ones don't have motion blue as a start.

Those are all Xbox screens. Watch the PS2 videos for this game on ps2.ign.com - it looks MUCH worse + it has a bad framerate and jaggies.

Just saw the PS2 videos, that's just... wow. Again. I guess that's what they have to do to get the console to handle the size.

the PS2 version (from the IGN videos) looks like it's missing the post processing effects & shadows... but still impressive for a ps2.

Wait, WHAT? How in the hell, there's absolutely no way these are PS2 shots, they just can't be. I'm going to be amazed if this runs any better than GTA3 and still looks this good, damn fine job devs.

if it looks too good to be true, then it is. no way a ps2 game like that can be THAT smooth, ever. acm2000 is right, and this will look like your typical ps2 game. still, impressive.

These pictures also look great. But there are some differences in Xbox 360 version. Draw distance is 32 km on Xbox 360 and 8 km on ps2. Other differences and features you can find from developers website.

Saying that this looks like the Xbox 360 version is stupid. That looks exactly like the PC version only with worse resolution and worse antistropic filtering. It has way less next-gen effects then the 360 version. Standard flat textured mountains, no HDR, bump maping almost no shadows.

Anyway that looks fucking good for PS2.

Btw how do you guys know that this screens are from the Xbox and PS2 versions, maybe this are just resized PC shots with a bit worse antistopic filtering, this textures look to good for Xbox and PS2, they really do.

Eidos put them in different catalogs, named Xbox 360, PS2 and Xbox. They were in really high resolution though. I doubt they are PC screens, but the IGN videos really didn't look like these screenshots.
