While the demo is now available to all (with a nice incompatibility with the PhysX drivers on PC), 2K Games have released the usual launch trailer of The Darkness II. Thug slicing will start on February 7 in North America and February 10 in Europe.
Love the demo, really awesome gameplay.
And I am one of those who prefer this artstyle more because its much closer to the graphics novels.
About the trailer, I think its badass how JAckie simply walks with a huge cloud with the darkness behind him and start shooting and killing, very nice.
I still prefer the realistic, cinematic palette of the first game but, after playing the demo, I am more impressed with the art style than I initially was. Looked very pretty/cool on my HDTV.
The gameplay was also fun as expected. Not sure if there's enough there to warrant a purchase from me, but I predict a good reception.
Demo was cool! Now this trailer has again the realistic cinematic look of the first game... why didn't they stick with that but now give us a non-comic look trailer?
I really loved the first game, but the comic look of the second one, even tough it's so crisp, turns me off from buying it now... maybe I'll pick it up later.
Really enjoyed the demo, although the snap-to aiming and constant headshot notifications reminded me a bit too much of COD. Might buy it if the campaign is of a decent length and quality.

The demo surprised me with how much fun i had. I almost feel sad that i haven't played the first one cause i probably would have enjoyed that one too. Might have to pick it up.
