THQ ANNOUNCES DARKSIDERS II, COMING IN 2012
The Pale Horseman rides forth in the sequel to the critically acclaimed hit

WOKING, UK. June 1, 2011 – THQ Inc. (NASDAQ: THQI) today announced the sequel to its award-winning Action/Adventure title, Darksiders®, is scheduled to come to the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and Windows PC in calendar 2012.
Darksiders® II follows the exploits of DEATH, one of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse, in a weaving tale that runs parallel to the events in the original Darksiders game. This epic journey propels DEATH through various light and dark realms as he tries to redeem his brother WAR, the horseman who was blamed for prematurely starting the Apocalypse in Darksiders.
Featuring a dramatically larger world, full weapon and armour upgrade systems as well as bigger and more challenging dungeons and vast array of new enemies and bosses, Darksiders II strives to improve on every aspect of the original hit.
Danny Bilson, Executive Vice President of Core Games commented: “We have taken the best parts of Darksiders and improved on them with a host of new mechanics and features. You will see great things from this epic game.”
Darksiders II is scheduled to be available for console and PC in calendar 2012, for more information check www.Darksiders.com .

About Darksiders 2
Awakened by the End of Days, Death, the most feared of the legendary Four Horsemen, embarks upon a quest to restore mankind, and redeem his brother’s name. Along the way, the Horseman discovers that there are far worse things than an earthly Apocalypse, and that an ancient grudge may threaten all of Creation . . . Can DEATH really become mankind’s savior? The original Darksiders, released in January 2010, received critical acclaim including the Best Fantasy Game 2010 award from IGN. Darksiders followed the story of WAR, wrongly accused of starting the apocalypse, on a quest to reclaim lost honour and take revenge on those who wronged him.

she's either pestilence or famine. I wonder how they'll explain a female as a horsemen.

"You have defied the law horsemen"

Man, I love Vigil Games.
Their art by Joe Mad and the voice acting is perfect!

Gameplay was nice, though War is so damn slow it takes too much to to move around which I dislike.

I hope Death is faster and more agile, though I will miss using a sword in this game, I hate big ones like stick or scythe.

Anyways, definitely buying it, they proven themselves to be worthy developers!

Horsewoman name is Fury, they changed Famine and Pestilence for Strife and Fury.

I love Joe Mad's art style. The first game was awesome. People can say they ripped off several games, but they ripped the best parts so I'm fine with it. Can't wait.

1. How can they change the names of 2 of the Horsemen? They're universally known!

2. Having said that, how would you play as Famine? Starve enemies to death? Lol!

As long as they keep the zelda like puzzle dungeon theme going I'll be very happy with this game. Combat was OK in the first, as good as god of war at least, but they puzzle aspect is what hooked me in.

I thought they were going to let us play after the ending of Darksiders, this got me a little disappointed I gotta admit.

I think this is after the first but we are going to save War from punishment, kinda like Death is coming to clean up the mess.

Still need to play the first Darksiders, I remember enjoying the demo, very Zelda like.

Time to rummage in the bargain bin I guess.

The design for Death looks really stupid. Reminds me of middle school

Otherwise this looks cool

kind of have to agree. Compared to War, death looks like a reboot of a PS1 WWF rendition of Kain.
