Why are people still using those awful filters? The naked pixels look a lot better.

And thank you for the awesomely large artwork! That's getting printed.

I think people who weren't gaming back in the day are more likely to like the assy smoothing filters. Remember when they implemented the 2xAI engine in ZSNES...looked just as shit back then :P

But yeah, some people just think low res pixel artwork looks bad. I certainly don't get it, but it seems to be popular :|

Got excited thinking they finally announced a new game. It's a crappy port. Couldn't they at least give it the HD Remix treatment?

I guess the filters make it look more like current gen games... aka blurry mess.

"lets try and resell this game and look how interested ppl gonna be in it and then maybe we'll do this crap called darkstalkers 4 on shitty SF4 engine and then milk it a bit with dlc on disc".
Not interested. Not in blurred pseudo high res. Not in anything made on SF4 engine with it's art style, it's horrible. Give real high res 2d.

What do you expect? they don't know if people will buy a new one so they re-release the old ones to test the market.

Personally I would prefer if a new Darkstalkers to be made, to be a 2d game not that horrible 3d fighting Street Fighter crap that so many Xboxlive fanboys crapped their pants about.

lolwut.. I didn't know you could inject this much bias into a third party, multiplatform game. SF4 is plenty successful on PS3 too bud.

Wow... fanboy much? Your posts are thick with irony.

When I saw the title I kind of assumed it was a proper sequel...I guess it's true about what they say about the word assume.

I can play the original titles through emulation anyway, they should make a game where the character sprites look like the art in that lovely poster.

Well, it's Capcom allright. I just hope this is just a beginning and there will be no Belmonts-wannabe to put Darkstalkers on sleep for another decade. I will purchase it though I own Vampire: Darkstalkers Collection for PS2 and couple of PSone games (both digital and physical). I like the series and I see nothing wrong with supporting it with my wallet.
