Capcom has announced 4 thematic packs for Dead Rising 2: the 'Psychopath' theme pack will be out on October 12th, the 'Soldier of Fortune' theme pack on October 19th, the 'Sports' theme pack on October 26th and finally the 'Ninja' theme pack will be available on November 2nd. In addition to the new costumes and new weapons it brings, those DLC will increase some of Chuck's abilities. You could also mix elements from each pack to create the ultimate zombie killer! We have no info about pricing but you will find more details after the click.
• Psychopath Theme Pack: Available October 12, 2010
Psycho Chuck will be a zombie’s worst nightmare as his new “insane” look will make him more difficult to kill and give him a host of gruesome weapons including chainsaws, cleavers, axes and more. Zombies won’t stand a chance!
• Soldier of Fortune Theme Pack: Available October 19, 2010
With the soldier costume, you can “Rambo out” with double ammo, increased shooting accuracy, more firepower and increased headshot accuracy. Chuck will also have a new special attack when using automatic weapons, spraying zombies with a hail of bullets.
• Sports Theme Pack: Available October 26, 2010
For all you sports fans out there, this pack’s for you. Chuck’s damage will increase with sports-themed weapons. The new sports weapons (golf balls, basketballs, etc.) bounce more before stopping, allowing you to hit tons of zombies in one throw. Chuck also has a new charge/tackle attack for taking zombies down in the ultimate blitz!
With the Sports Theme Pack, Chuck will also earn more from gambling, gain more health while eating and drinking (especially alcoholic drinks) and not get sick from drinking too much...
• Ninja Theme Pack: Available November 2, 2010
Ninja Chuck will have a new “stealth mode” where the zombies have to be much closer to him to detect his presence. This gives Chuck the upper hand as he is harder to grab and be taken down by hoards of the undead.
Chuck’s damage is increased with sword-type weapons (broadswords, katanas, etc.) that have new special attacks. Stackable items and throwing items (nails, plates, gems, etc.) will also do more damage and Chuck’s throwing speed is increased.
i just cant get enough of this selling us a game in chunks. It's awesome. Capcoms definately leading the way to a bigger brighter future for games.. not only have the charged seperately for the begining and the end of the game, i now get to buy alternative costumes outside of the game.
I look forward to other games selling me the first level seperate from the main game - mark my words..it's coming.
This is stupid...I've had all these dlc pieces for 2 week now and I cant use them. If it wasnt out until later, dont let us dl them and make it look like they dont exist! They've been on PSN for that long and they are free, but the game doesnt see them! LAME!

Those free downloads are not the actual costume packs. They only allow you to play with someone in co-op that has them. The actual costume packs won't be free.

i put the game, then MARKETPLACE from the game and i found all these DLC and downloaded all....
And so much for the people in countries like mine were we can't get easy excess to internet.
I play all my games offline, and can't get online without running into our goverments firewall !
Thanks Game companies for not considering this minority of gamers that still exist !

I think ports will be inevitable since it sells what i think is an awesome feature; the shared save system. Sony just need to handle it propperly like they have with motorstorm RC. (1 minute ago)

Soul Sacrifice seems to be coming to Vita though, recently a new domain was registered with a very similar name by Sony i think it was. E3 probably. (1 minute ago)

a port system. So that every damn game for PS3, comes to Vita too. That would be too easy, but no reason to own it really. But i agree, when it comes down to it..i prefer console too. (3 minutes ago)

@KORNdog: I really only care for the Vita exclusives. That Battle Royale nonsense and Sly 4...meh. Soul Sacrifice though, definitely interesting! But i really dont hope the Vita will eventually become (4 minutes ago)

Unless of course it's something great like uncharted, in which case it takes priority. It'll beinteresting to see COD on the handheld tho. If it offers a decent portable online experience i may get it (4 minutes ago)

Because ultimately if o ever have to chose between home console and handheld, i'll go home console every time. Vita is my stop gap gaming fix for times when there is nothing else to play. (6 minutes ago)
