Xbox 360 PS3

Electronic Arts offers the first trailer for its horror and science-fiction videogame Dead Space, which will be available on both the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2008. We notice many influences, first with the character design which is kinda similar to a Big Daddy from BioShock or the camera/atmosphere a la Resident Evil 4. I hope there will be more than tentacle monsters though. A very promising effort to keep under the radar for sure.

I must say, this trailer made me want to know more about the game. Nice graphics, looks atmospheric and the sound was, albeit rather ordinary for the setting, good as well. So yeah, looks nice to me.

Dark sci-fi game...I like.

RE4 camera...I like.

Story, pace, feeling...I have to wait much more longer to see whats up.

The enemy sucked, the graphics weren't that special. The graphics are under standard if the game is coming 2008. Needs improvement but I like the idea. Only the first trailer =)

the enemy sucked? we saw less than a second worth of footage of that "thing". the video sucked. not the enemy.

I think the graphics were very decent. Plus, plenty of time to improve.

I think overall it looks good. Will be looking into it as a possible buy (even if it is EA) :D

I think it looks like it'l be lots of fun to play. Hasn't been many good space shooters out which gives developers flexibility to do what ever the heck they want, which is cool :D Plus its all dark and spooky which makes it 10x more interesting

that it does, its like dooms overall design mixed in with "the thing" enemy design. hate the way the guy walks, is he a cripple or something?

One theory: he's wearing magnetized boots because of the zero-G environment.

he is, there was a huge story on it in EGM for (I think) November. The whole game isn't played that way, but the story goes you play an engineer sent to fix a "Planet Mining" ship that sent a distress call.

You, one Security Officer, and a Pilot all dock on the ship. When you get there, well, all hell breaks loose. Your main weapon is that Blue Laser Welder, but you will find other "throwaway" weapons like shotguns and pistols.

On a side note, that blue streak of lights down the avatars back? That's your health bar. There is no HUD in the game.

this game is gonna be great. it focuses on dismemberment of enemies, has a section of the game played in zero gravity environment, and as stated by the developers, will be around a 20 hour experience.

they seem to be doing lots of research into the horror genre so they get the game right. i think they wont let us down.
