I was kinda hoping this was gonna be a shadow complex type ten hour game. 2 hours is shorter then limbo for christ sake...

Dtoid bashed this game so hard, i still cant believe it (4/10) The critisism seems justified though, the major flaws and the punishing gameplay make it hard to love the game.

2 Hours is not even worth $2 bucks.

better buy Dust and Shadow Complex, or something...

I'm ok with short games, but they should be unique like LIMBO and Journey.

While i liked Deadlight, the game leaves you with a bad taste after you beat it. There is just not enough content to warrant the asking price. Once you beat it - that's it.No replay value.
Not only the game is short, but also unpolished (controls are unresponsive at times, lot's of clipping, few glitches..).

I got a review code from developers, so it's all good. :))

Was really pumped for this, hoped for much better reviews. Sounds like it's a short game, but not the kind of short where it's deemed to be worth it.

It sure is pretty though.

Hey Seth,

How could you praise Limbo while saying this is not worth teh asking price?

Limbo was even worse or the smae kinda not worth a damn, no replay value at all, 2-4 hours if you are lucky.

What a letdown that was :D

Dust looks incredible!!

Cant wait for your impressions, cause even though I cant play it I want to read how is it after years of waiting.

Well this is your opinion man. I loved this game, it has fantastic atmosphere and feels quite different than other games. After i beat it, right after that i make few runs for ''No point in dying'' achievement and then one more for 100+% completion. So yeah, for me replay value was there. :D

Could be a good 2 hours, Journey was just over 1hr and people raved about that same with Walking Dead.

Reviews are saying length isn't the games only issue though. So a poor 2 hours seems like a kick in the balls after so much talk of this being the next shadow complex. You buy it and let us know...lol

If it stayed in teh woods I would have agreed with you here.

Alas it went all industrial and lost the atmosphere it had.

Yeah in my opinion anyway.

From where came all this talk? The game was advertised as ''cinematic platformer'' from beginning. There was absolutely no mention about any Matroidvania style levels with exploration....

Been playing this. It's a bit frustrating. It's got some serious design flaws and control issues.

It's also going to be a very polarizing game, even if it didn't have control issues, because it's an old school adventure platformer, like Prince of Persia, Flashback and Oddworld. That type of play isn't going to appeal to everyone and certainly not today's players who are used to a lot of hand-holding and instant gratification.

I'm still going to play through it, because the sets are gorgeous.

Sad to see the developer failing on many of the key aspects after the art style gave so much promise. I might buy it at a later point, if they fix some of the biggest flaws reviews have mentioned.

I sure hope TW learns from their mistakes and releases a game worth the hype next time.

This game is 5 hours long and it sucks.Visually it is very impressive and some gameplay elements good as well.Sadly however, the story and characters are poorly done and most gameplay is extremely repetitive and gets boring quick.I would not recommend this title to anyone at all....period.

It's 1200p, $15 USD (not sure what 1200p is elsewhere). Developers deserve to get paid for hard work, but given the XBLA landscape, it would feel better at 800p ($10 USD).

And game length doesn't necessarily denote quality. The Walking Dead is 2-3 hours, but well worth it and I await more.
