I guess Bakutheswede never played Mr Brown vs the turd army. Man that game was a fucking classic...

Anyhow, I these screens should put in perspective just how good GoW3 really looks, compared to other games in the genre.

This is definitely a game that looks much better in motion. It's not God Of War 3 amazing but it does look good when playing. Plus, everything moves at 60fps.

didnt think much of the demo.. i'm sure all the kids that invest in this will appreciate the naked breasts, and shock value throughout.. but it just seemed like a rather boring hack'n slash to me.

They really need to up the graphics cause it does look bad. Would it really hurt the smooth gameplay if they did?

What's GOW 3 moving at? I know the first 2 were 60, but is the 3rd one confirmed 30 or 60?

GoW3 will not be 60. The demo barely had some parts at 30. Keep in mind it's just a demo. I love all button masher games so I will definitely be getting this. Hell I enjoyed DI's demo more than Bayonetta's. I admit Bayonetta is a bit more fun combat wise then DI.

God of War 3 is variable, so 60 fps in low taxing sequences with 30 fps in high action sequences. This has been the case with God of War 1 and 2 on the PS2.

That being said, I tried the demo and it honestly felt like a poor man's God of War. Didn't really like it as much. Especially since the narrative jumped all over the place.

This really stands no chance against god of War 3, but I guess if 360 owners still want more button mashing after Beyonetta they could pick this up.

those are terrible screenshots; bad angles (though maybe realistic ones) and horribly compressed.

That being said, yes, the geometric detail doesn't look quite on the level of GoW3, though GOW3 isn't looking all levels of fantastic either.

Too bad they really could have pushed the envelope with this theme.

What he said.

Its stupid of them to let us use only one weapon type throughout the entire game, cross doesnt count considering its not the primary weapon, its just a secondary weapon like Ryuy's shurikens or Dante's guns, but even those characters have other secondaries.

In such a genre, weapons are the main thing, thats what makes the game fresh. To see new animations, new attacks, new weapons to use that you like, and DI has a problem.

I was going to buy it for sure, but the idea of "one weapon" just killed it off my list automatically.

I think although you do have one weapon, it has many varied forms like a sword version, a whip etc, although I might be mistaken...

I actually love the mood of the game. I am a big fan of any kind of Myth and these dark katholic ideas of hell are just great. Moving throug the cycles of Hell , even in an GOW inspired game, is a must buy for me.

Yes, but GoW3 is not free of screen tearing and doesn't run at 60 fps. Dante's Inferno does.

The thing that annoys me about this game is the wasted potential.

First of all, the studio was responsible for Dead Space, one of my favourite games and in the top ten games of 2008 at least. Can someone confirm that all the awesome people went and made Dead Space 2 and left everyone else to make this?

Second of all, the idea of the game. It could of been insanely good, it could have been on par with or better than GoW. The first CGI trailer was AMAZING and I remember re-watching it about 5 times, even the music was awesome. Now I see this game and just think, why!?!

Playing through GoW I remember only using one weapon throughout the entire game except when you are forced to use something for specific enemies.

So one weapon is fine by me.
