Xbox 360 PS3

Koei released these images of Fatal Inertia, also announcing a September 11 release date for the US. The press release only mentions the Xbox 360 version, but it's hard to believe that the Playstation 3 version is canned.

Again an other stupid comment from you Myro....
I played a PC game years ago which looks very similar. Will wait for a demo, but doesnt look worth 60€, yet.

Slipstream 2000 no doubt, Hansi. :)

That game rocked, and this game promises to use physics based combat, which sounds funkier than the screenshots suggest. I'm keeping an eye on this.

This was supposed to be a PS3 launch title. I'm over it now.

So I couldn't care less if it's been cancelled. Bring on Wipeout!

Need to see a video to really see how this game looks, way too much motion blur going on in those screens to tell anything.

I bet you meant Slipstream 5000 :P

As others have said video or demo is needed to decide if this is good or not.

Indeed. I always have trouble with seemingly random grabbing of years/numbers. :D

Wipeout 2097, Spiderman 2099, Rush 2049, Escape 2000, Slipstream 5000, or all of them could be tossed around or reversed. :O

Better that than remembering number and not name of the game :D

Is it just me or is the new 360 version looking worse as the old PS3 version.

It looks jaggier and some of the similar levels don't look that good.

I doubt they would can the game for PS3 atleast seeing as it was their starting platform. If so, I've seen others like you though who are waiting for Wipeout instead so you'll still get your fix :)

If it is cancelled then I'm laughing like crazy. To think the PS fanboys where using this when it was an exclusive as to show of Cell's power (when it was more a Target Render of how it would be). I'm no Fanboy but just because of that I would laugh. IT probably means that till now they probably didn't show much ingame and probably touched up pictures and target renders ;).

It's been cancelled. Or rather, "delayed indefinitely."

I know Unreal Engine 3 is supposed to be versatile, but a hovercraft racer? Lamers...

EDIT: Story's over at 1UP for the two people who're interested. Can't be bothered to get the link.

There is only one game with UE3 on PS3 today. Most of others delayed.
Rainbow Six :Vegas.

Problems with UE3?

ship design looks horrible, and the graphics as a whole look a little below average....i think i'll wait for the new wipeout, we all know it'll do the whole future racer thing properly.

Rainbow Six: Vegas was an adequate port, wasn't it?

I don't think it's so much problems, but they're trying to optimize the engine for PS3. Here's the rumor:

http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3160556

"Epic Games and Sony are making buddy buddy over the Unreal Engine 3 license to get the technology running faster on PlayStation 3. And they might be funding a PS3 exclusive, to boot."

I hope not all the levels will be that simple (an almost-oval & one with only a few curves). Not my idea of good track design (see: almost any Wipeout level).

The only thing worth noting about this title is how the development difficulties around the PS3 continue, even with the help of excellent middleware like UE3.

But playing a game like ATV vs MX at 720p on the ORIGINAL xbox1, you have to wonder what the hell these people are smoking.
