every game these days gets pictures released that are not in game,i dont know why they bother as it doesnt rep the game in any way
I haven't played a good third person shooter since Max Payne 2 (minus Gears of War), this looks like a lot of fun and I love destructible enviroments.
Can't wait to play this game, I love Hard Boiled, Max Payne, and Psi-Ops..can't go wrong here.
I just hope the gameplay turns out to be good.
I'm not really impressed by the charactermodel details in this game sofar, especially in the 1st screenshot.. But I guess we'll have to wait until the game is ready and see it in motion..
And it's not just two games, Mass Effect, Stranglehold, Brothers In Arms, etc are all lacking AA as well. I don't think any UE3 game on the platform currently sports anti-aliasing, and I think that unless they change the package they're licensing to third parties, no games will for some time.
Sweeney- Gears of War runs natively at 1280x720p without multisampling. MSAA performance doesn't scale well to next-generation deferred rendering techniques, which UE3 uses extensively for shadowing, particle systems, and fog.
there probably won’t be Full Scene Anti-Aliasing. We’ll do things
that’ll give us a similar effect, but again we’re speaking on the
engine side of things so it’s not really my department. I’m not a big
fan of jaggies though, so we’ll do whatever we can to get rid of those.
Personally I think Gears looks much better than pretty much anything else, despite having no anti-aliasing.
