I was especially gripped by the descriptions of the ramped up AI. The clip where the camera was from the view of a teammate, your squad moving and working together about 3:45 was especially juicy.
I did not observe this behavior in the demo but this video makes me want to try it out again.
Again, I hope all this preview talk of the game gaining steam rapidly after the first level or two (from which the demo is derived) is true. It's disappointing to see that the multiplayer's graphics have not improved too much (despite what Ubisoft interviews would try to peddle), but the single player campaign in GRAW2 is definitely looking solid, and definitely has the potential to top the first title.
I've read several gaming journalists who have played more of the game, state that the demo level is possibly the worst they could have chosen and is in no way representative of any other level...
They also suggest that apart from the lighting, the multiplayer visuals are very close to the single player...
So far from what I have seen with the dev diaries and the demo, this game is so bought. While I am sure the demo was not the best they had to offer in terms of what to show off, what it was, was solid GRAW gameplay and level design. Unlike most of Ubisoft's sequels in the past generation, that were severely lacking of almost anything that made the original great, GRAW2 looks to have kept all that in place, while improving on the formula in all the ways that I found the original GRAW lacking.
This is a day one purchase in my book.
They make GREAT games, and they are gonna make sure you know about it too! lol. I love these videos!
