here here,

i find it funny that tony hawks managed to survive at least 5 games before it got tedious, SKATE managed to do it by the second game...lol, realism blows when it comes to these sorts of games. who wants to barely manage an ollie in a video game....i can do that in real life. tony hawks, while utter crap now, at least gave you that escapism of being able to do 10 tricks in a single jump and look awesome doing it.

skate?....not so much.

As I hear a lot around here "thats your opinion"

But SSX tricky n co had a lot more "fun" element to them than this.

A proper SSX game would be fantaboulous.

Level looks pretty good. If they could just fix the on-foot movement, I might just pick this up.

Anyhow I'm still enjoying the first game.

To each his own I guess. I thought Skate and Skate 2 were two of the best sports games this generation. Maybe you want to do a 1080 triple back flip out of an airplane in a game, but some of us prefer a more realistic experience. It's not like Skate is hyper-real though by any means. I don't think jumping down a 100 ft dam on a board is advisable in real life. I think you are mixing up difficulty and realism. Sure Skate can be hard to master, but once you do, you can pull of some pretty sick tricks. It just involves more than holding a button like the Tony Hawk series.

As far as snowboarding games go...I don't see the big deal. You slide down a mountain on a board. Wow. Not much variety in environments or objectives there. Maybe knock over a few snowmen on the way or something???
