Wow, whoever did the modeling of the characters did a shitty job. The concept art in the scans looks pretty nice, the idea for the characters and everything. But somehow that got lost in the transition from 2d to 3d. Just hope the game play is as good as part 1 and 3, then i can live with crappy looking characters.

Yeah, i just assumed that i was free to express my opinion. Sorry bout that.
Seriously though, i just think that the characters look wonky, i can't really put my finger on what it is though. Agnus looks like some cartoon misfit with his weirdly proportioned face, i mean...sure his chin is supposed to be broad but still, it just looks bad in my opinion. As for Credo, maybe the pictures are just shot at awkward moments or something.

Well, you didn't really present any arguments on your side, you just told me i was wrong. Still i think the concept art shown next to each in-game picture looks good, but the 3d-model does not. Of course i haven't seen the images the modelers have been working with but of what i can see so far my beef is with the 3d versions of the characters, not the design.
There may be a little more exaggeration in Angus' face than in the concept art, but I think that's ok considering everyone else is practically a supermodel. Variety is good. :)
I don't quite like what I see. Dante/Neo look alright but the rest of the characters don't look good at all, especially the women.
I mean they managed to model some quite good looking women in Lost Planet, why do these ones look so strange?
Looks good so far, what I want to know is just how much you can play as Dante I hope it will be like DMC2 and you get the whole game with him to. Not much fussed on this Nero character
I agree. Look at the weapons, for example (on some other sreens and CGs). Very egdy to me. Same with some details on the char models. Sometimes I think the DMC4 engine was taken from Lost Planet :D
Lost planet had great effects and awesome environments but a lack of polys.

I think you're right.. and unless my memory is failing me, I think RE5 is using a version of the same engine as well.. and as FemaleTengu noted, Lost Planet.
