Not holding my breath for this one, but will try the demo tomorrow on PSN.

Though I notice the music and dialogue is pure shit in this one, but then again, music has been shit in DMC except DMC1 and 2.

Wish Vergil was unlockable character, that way they could have added him into the demo so I could see if he is as cool as the trailer made him to be.

First off, you opinion on music is worth squat since you admit to only listening to orchestral pieces and dislike everything else. Secondly, that's 50% of all DMC games :P

As for how good i expect this game to be...well, not much. Maybe an ok action romp, but it will probably be nothing like a DMC game. Then again the series peaked with 3 and the legacy continued with Bayonetta, so i'm more excited about Bayonetta 2 than this :P

The timing with the release of the Twilight film is just coincidence right? I mean its not like this Ninja Theory Dante looks like a mix of team Edward or Taylor right?

Just saying...

If music were the least of the problems. Music is just personal taste, there's never a single one that everyone would like. It's just like complaining about the color of their clothes, maybe some would want to see him dressed in black, who cares. Games soundtrack are usually cheap ones from unknown unsuccessful musicians, their names are not even mentioned. Is a good thing to have a secondary speaker to listen your favorite song without missing the dialogue.

Coudn't agree more. The more DMC try to promote their game, the more I fell like playing Bayonetta. The true DMC soul now lives in Bayonetta, we should thank Kamiya for that.

I liked it even though it does feel like the new Dante is Nero + Old Dante put together...

I mean look at his coat? same as nero-ish, the sword now can pull you towards enemy's etc.. (which is like the devil bringer)

I liked the demo but the art style is good but the enemy detail is some waht lacking.

Having only played through a bit of DMC1, it's fair to say I'm not too fussed about the change of character. It's hard to gauge how deep the combat is from my one playthrough of this though but so far there's a nice solid feel to it

The graphics aren't really my thing at this stage but that's not crucial if it plays great

The demo took me completely by surprise. From Ninja Theory I was expecting shitty gameplay with great acting, instead I got great gameplay and shitty acting. If it was 60fps this would easily be the best DMC since the original, but right now I'd rank it on the level of DMC3 and above 2 and 4. The new design doesn't bother me, I don't worship this cartoon character like some people seem to.

On 360 its doable and PC. But on PS3...devs barely care :(

It is true that the music is awesome in the first Devil May Cry. The same guy that did the music in Resident Evil 1,2 and 3? Sign me up. But this gen chip music has suffered. FFXIII's music isn't play on the console's chip like X, X-2 and XII's was.

Except that one, thats awesome.
As long as there is no "lyrics" in them with some orchestral pieces and choir, I dont mind them at all. Like combat music for DMC4 is has that crap, especially the same repetitive ones over and over.

I like these types more

Oh God! I cant believe how many people are still bitching about the way he looks? who on earth cares? if you want a doll to dress up go and get one!

I thoroughly enjoyed the demo and my fears about gameplay have all but gone now! Dialogue may not be the best but honestly since when was dialogue a big thing in any dmc game? Get over it and enjoy a GAME that knows what its doing in terms of GAMEplay...

Who on earth cares? Fans of the old iconic Dante cares. We are LOOKING at the character throughout the game and you expect nobody gives a crap, if it was a first person shooter it wouldnt matter, but its not.

I did play the demo 2 times today on PS3, the weapon swapping buttons, eh, not bad, takes some time to get used to it. But the fact the game has no lock-on is a miss IMO. Most combos and advanced ones is through lock-on since you have to use the direction analog and you get various moves depending which way you push it, here its more like The Force Unleashed, its timed through and through.
Not only that, but lock-on lets you focus on the most important character you are trying to defeat and dodging and such makes it easier to get to them.

I thought the demo is decent, its not worth full price IMO but definitely a play at lower price wouldnt hurt. Good thing they let you skip cutscenes.

Feels decent but 30fps hurts a lot and art style is horrible. Too much overbrightness/bloom (what to expect from UE) and after testing both ps3 and xbox 360 version, the ps3 version suffers frame drops a lot more than the 360. PC version for me if possible and with lower price. Wii U and Bayonetta 2 ftw! :)

Bayonetta played better without lock on even if it have it, if you are finding issues with this one soft lock I think is because NT fucked it up, remember NG games dont have lock on either and work great.

I downloaded the demo but didnt had time to play it, I guess tonight I will.

I know, but some moves were only specifically through lock-on and if I remember right, all DMCs had it so it felt natural to me to just find out which button does it in this game.
