Did you wonder if Vergil would be playable in the next Devil May Cry? Well, the answer is yes but it will be through a DLC. Vergil's Downfall will allow players to control Dante's twin brother in that "untold" chapter that comes with new enemies and unlockables. It will be made available post-launch for $8.99/720MSP.

Hmm I thought they said, "you wouldn't be playing as Vergil in the game", but i guess throwing Vergil in DLC was ok!

Hmm, another character remake, so original. Wonder what the people that played as Vergil on Devil May Cry 3 (Special Edition) will think of this other one.

Seeing this, Vergil is WAY better than Dante in this game. Hell, I rather play as Vergil the entire game than Dante, much faster, more sylish...and he has Iaido style which is badass.
If anything, Vergil is what makes me like this title, period.

Yeah...Iaido is cool. Very refreshing to see this and not some oversized Soul Calibur style sword. Something like Tachibana Ukyo from Samurai Showdown.

funny. I have little figure of Ishida in my office. :-D I miss some nice samurai game. I dont mean some hectic slashing, but something like Kengo but with story and more variety.
Back to topic....yes, this character is really awesome and stylish. Like it a lot.

LOL thats nice. But tbh, I HATE the character design of Ishida, my favorite in Basara is by far Kojuro...from design to personality, love characters like that. Interms of samurai games, i love flashy and hectic ones, but I wouldnt mind Onimusha 5 :(

Its a shame Vergil is DLC though, would be better as unlockable, or just a seperate mode from the getgo that way I wouldnt play as Dante or be forced to.

Then Mission Complete Capcom. Just when you think its confusing why this isn't included in a game (nobody is getting), the most tragic thing about htis is that there will be people out there (who will get this) and the DLC too.

This genre is dying and fans loved to unlock stuff in replayvalue for weapons, skins and characters...those motivations are long gone and its sad.

It's a post launch DLC. Not day1. No date announced. They announced this so early so the people can get pre-orders from GameStop and EBGames now (and get this DLC "FOR FREE" on release). Rotten practice if you ask me. But your point is still valid in both cases. They don't even care for spoilers (Vergil's Downfall indeed).
