There's a slight esthetic carry-over, but it looks much better than WoW to me, and describing it as "fail" comes off as a fail on its own.

shame they ruined what made d2 great and turned it into wow mini game, great trailers as always though, super hyped for sc2 but this game is dead to me and i have played d2 on and off for 10 years now

Watching the panels from BlizzCon, D3 is looking fucking awesome...despite what some overly dramatic people might say.

Sorry if it came off strong in regards to the graphic quality, but i always enjoyed D1-2 for the gleaming chain mail/plate armour <for its time lol>. Diablo never felt like a cartoony dungeon runner, i mean.. evil gloom, zombies/demons/succubus's trying to rip your face off in the little mermaid just sounds wrong to me ;p
