I'm getting the impression this game has lost its way. I didn't mind the whole integration of new events in Dirt 1, but I thought Colin Mcrae was a rally driver, and this game was based around his career that defined the game. I know Colin took part in the X-game thingy, but don't remember seeing anything like the trailer.
Great to see that they're doing Colin's legacy justice with a refined and classy trailer. I bet the man himself would have been proud of this... thing.
I doubt the game will suit me. I disliked Dirt due its horrible handling (super brakes, steering wheel implementation (tons of options but it never feels right)) and they use the same engine for Dirt 2 again which leads me to belief that steering and handling will be similar which I can't stand.
I miss the good old CMR 3 and 4 spirit, I liked to hunt times in the WRC in these two.
A lot of u guys are sayin WTF is this??? This is the dirt 2 trailer, a no brainer.. If u would read up on the game maybe you'd understand it.. Dirt 2 takes the concept of you on the road all the time.. The game the menu has you in a motorhome and u chose events/races from there. Thats why the trailer has a motorhome in it... :p
I enjoyed the first one. Eventually got a 1000G on it.
But, trailer doesn't really show anything of the game. Unless there are going to be lots of RL cutscenes in this style? Which was fairly unusual and striking I thought.
