GSY Video PS5 Xbox Series X PC PS4 Xbox One

After our Xbox Series X videos of DiRT 5, it is time to check out the Playstation 5 version of the game. This new episode is probably more along the lines of iconic titles such as DriveClub and Motorstorm than some of the preivous DiRT games, but it remains a very entertaining one anyway. The next gen version proposes 3 graphics modes to choose from and we've decided to start with the first two. You can favor image quality with more detailed graphics but if you prefer you can prioritize resolution. In the 2 modes, you get to play up to 60 fps, though we have witnessed a few slowdowns on Sony's console. The third mode is focused on framerate only but it seems we cannot capture it for the moment. One more thing, we're enjoying the way the adaptive triggers work in the game, offering more or less resistance depending on the situation. For example, the accelerator gets harder to push when the car lands after a high jump.

Makes sense it evokes Driveclub/Motorstorm, etc. Lot of the devs are ex-Evolution studios devs. Much the same team who did Onrush and Driveclub.

Glad to hear the game is very good, which isn't a surprise given the developers' pedigree. The adaptive triggers really pique my interest, as it has the potential to make for much more immersive experiences, which is always great imho.
