A little retrogaming news tonight with these few videos from The Disney Afternoon Collection. This compilation is composed of 6 games, DuckTales 1 and 2, Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers 1 and 2, Darkwing Duck and TaleSpin.
I need this type of Disney games collection, but for other Disney's NES/Master System games and one for Disney's SNES/Mega Drive games.
They already made old versions of Aladdin, The Lion King and The Jungle Book available through GOG.com, but really great classic gems like Maui Mallard in Cold Shadow - love this game to death, The Little Mermaid, Pinocchio, Beauty and the Beast, and so many Mickey, Donald Duck, Goofy and Scrooge McDuck's games.
So many great memories with so many of these games. And from what I've read, many of them still hold very well today, both in the gameplay and/or graphics departments. And many of these games have such incredible history behind them. Maui Mallard in Cold Shadow for example was a passion project for the developers and they remember of it very fondly till thiss day.
Below is a Gaint Bomb's user review of Maui Mallard in Cold Shadow, and a really nice interview with some of the game's developers.
