Capcom announced the release in 2015 of DmC Devil May Cry Definitive Edition on PS4 and XB1. It's of course a remastered version of DmC, but also it looks like quite a few changes of been done to the game itself, both in terms of content and gameplay. While waiting for a HQ trailer, here are some images.
Also DMC4 was announced on both XB1 and PS4, but it looks like it's a straight port.
Update: 60fps trailer added.

Vergil is the difference for the DMC4 port for me, it was very cool using his sword with Dante, I can't even imagine what an entire move set would be like.

Why the f**k would they port DMC4? Just make a new one. With Dante. By Capcom, and not mediocre Ninja theory. Or at least remake DMC3 in next gen grejfix glory.

Did someone ask for Vergil in DMC4?

Sure its not DMC5 but I guess it'd be better than nothing if DMC5 doesn't happen.

I gotta admit, this news caught me by surprise - specially DMC4. Capcom must be truly desperate if it is re-releasing so many of its games, specially an almost 7 years old game (DMC4 was released on February 5th, 2008).

Hopefully, this means a Dragon's Dogma remaster isn't as far fetched as before, surely remastering a much newer game should be a no-brainer.

To quote the actual article at the top of the page;
"Also DMC4 was announced on both XB1 and PS4, but it looks like it's a straight port."

How is that not DMC4? Looks a hell of a lot like form over here.

As for DmC the remake thingy, who gives a flying f**k? It was a very mediocre action game. Them rebalancing isn't going to resolve the fundamentally flawed gameplay.

How they didn't have announced DMC HD Collection Re-Remaster? :))

Hopefully DMC4 sells better to show them once again what the fans are interested into.

I'm with Megido on this one...of all the DMC's to "remaster" why the hell not DMC3??? The one that everyone thought was awesome, not the ones that made everyone forget the series. If you had a play only as Dante version of DMC4 maybe that would be ok...but I got so tired of Nero being a whiney bitch...pretty much ruined the game.

I'm beginning to wonder if there's anyone alive at Capcom.

Well they did, along with DMC1 and 2 in the DMC HD collection. Though what would be cool if they brought DMC3 back one more time, being able to use all the Styles at once like in DMC4. Sure, it'd break the game beyond repair, but dammit it'd be fun! Or for DMC4, bring back Doppelganger Style and give Dante that as I see fans have modded it into the PC version of DMC4

Im absolutely going for DMC4:SE. I wasn't interested in DmC:DE until I read the changes to it. They seemed to have answered most of my complaints so I may very well give it a try.

They ported these games instead of DMC1-3 because these ports are based on PC version, which is what the PS4 is. Harder to port from PS3

Hmm why do people go on about 3 so much? I played through it once back at release and was very unimpressed. Awful locations, pacing, story, weapons, main villain. The 1st one was the best and only Devil May Cry game and they never topped that one. Even though the story only got better closer to the end (and was cheesy as hell too) it still had better character development.

I'm happy they included the Devil May Cry 1's Dante skin for the DmC game. Finally they listened to the fans that didn't want to play as that Emo/Twilight version of Dante. And a Remaster of Devil May Cry 4...even though it would been wiser to remaster Devil May Cry 3, I'm definitely gonna get DMC4 too!

Lol, just gtfo. Had some amazing locations, had probably the best story of any of the DMC games, had the coolest weapons (artemis, agni & rudra, beowulf? Come on) and the best combat system the series has ever seen. The crazy ass combos and the variety you got out of it is just unparalleled. DMC was great, expecially for it's time, but 3 just took everything 1 did good and made it great.

Either you barely played DMC 3 or you have forgotten how stiff and confined DMC is by comparison. I mean, hell, as far as action games go i think the only possible contender to DMC3s supremacy is Bayonetta, and let's face it; Bayonetta is the spiritual successor to DMC.
