The first 2 months of 2020 may be pretty quiet on terms of big releases but don't forget that some highly anticipated titles are coming, among which DOOM Eternal. We have recently been invited to a preview event and should soon be able to share some of the gameplay footage we recorded at Bethesda's Parisian headquarters, but until then, check out the new trailer inside.

Looks a hell of a lot better than the first game, which I felt was just a mishmash of generic fps's over the years. Didn't really much care for the demon and level designs. It just didn't feel like Doom at all. It looks like they made this one with that criticism in mind. The demons themselves look a lot closer to their original counterparts, and even the Doomguy himself has had a camp 80's sleeveless metal rock makeover with a design that has familiar traits, but actually makes sense. He doesn't look like a Master Chief knockoff now, and it seems that careful aesthetic design has been applied to the demons as well. They don't look like anamorphic crawfish. Hopefully the level design is a bit closer to the originals. Something that is really lacking in the industry as a whole these days is actual good level design in FPS's. Oh, and a old school pump action shotgun would be grand.
