Trailer PC Xbox 360 PS3

EA announced something that will undoubtedly not please everyone, since Dragon Age 2 will get some downloadable content for its release. Those who will get the signature edition of the game will not have to pay, but as for the others, it will cost them 560 Microsoft Points or $7 to discover the story of this exiled prince.

I like the incentive to "buy game at launch and get certain DLC free" model

But only for "ltd ed" buyers? charging for DLC at day 1 is disgusting.

nothing makes me want to buy a game more than knowing i wouldnt be getting the full contents day 1.

Why publishers think promoting dlc before the release of the actual game its supporting is a good idea i dont know.

My advice - wait for the GOTY edition. Theres enough decent games hitting this year to make the extra 6-9 month wait go bye. You'll get all the dlc and the game for half the retail price

Know what EA? You just lost a first day sale. I can wait until your uber edition hits the sub 20 Euro price point less than a year down the road. You can take your nickel and diming and shove where the sun doesn't shine. Plenty of other WHOLE games on sale atm.

Love Dragon Age 1 (PS3), Dragon Age 2 looks awesome, pre-ordered Signature Edition!

Btw, Signature Edition has the same price of the regular so I dont see the problem of not wanting the Signature Edition.

See as a gift for the hardcore fans. If you preorder you get the Signature Edition. Which you can ONLY get by preordering. And for preorder you get plus ingame content. If you consider to buy the first day of release why don't you preorder? I don't see this a screw over. If you want to play the extra content which belogs to Signature Edition your can. For 560 MSP.

Plus content for special editions? Why is it a problem?

This is fucking retarded, you should release DLC further down the line of the game, to keep players retaining the disc.

NOT ON THE FIRST DAY, where you feel left out of content that is (or not) on the disc!

The game still looks like crap to me. Nevertheless, I will buy it new when it hits the bargain bin or better yet when they release their GOTY/Ultimate Edition. I'm glad i'm not the only one who thinks this way.

You just have to question why Bioware and other devs would treat gamers who don't preorder their games like second-rate gamers. This particular type of DLC where the content isn't just aesthetic changes to the game in question annoys the hell out of me. Its sad how these developers have given into pressure from retailers and publisher demands.

I cannot believe this is by the same folks who make Mass Effect. Everything just looks so sloppy by comparison, character models in particular are crap.

I was hoping to see some real leaps from the previous one to make me consider it, but I don't know; this just isn't convincing me.

Because this has absolutly no excuse not to be on the disc. Why should those unable to preorder...or unaware of this "reward", get less content for their money? Why should they be expected to pay the same amount for less content?

The whole project ten dollar thing is bullshit too. Its all very well saying buy new and you'll get rewarded. Doesnt really help those that dont have their consoles hooked up to the net. ME2 wasnt a multiplayer focused game.

Meh. Just pre-order it. It's the same thing as "Premium Edition" packages for JRPGs in the west only the "premium" is digital over something physically tangible.

Signature Editons/Limited Editions/Hardcore Editions/Collector Editions/Prestige Editions for the fans whom usually follow the game development. I don't think people just walks in a store and "Ahhhh here's the new game never heard of it. Lets buy the Collectors Edition".

You would be happier if they follow the COD line with hardcore editon=+4 ingame level which you can only get if you get the hardcore or prestige edition. (overpriced of course).

Bioware lets you buy the extra content if you want.

You get more content for Signature edition... why don"t you cry over the Soundtarck disk...(SE will contain that too) less content (-1 disk) for regular edition...

I think the only thing is questionable is the fact you can't buy the Signature Edition after January 11.

What you and others dont seem to get is that if you preorder they for "FREE" upgrade your game to SE with some more content.

You don't want the SE then don't preorder and get the regular game with the option of buying that content for a moderate charge.

The SE of games have been like this forever and this time you get to have one for the same cost.

I mean after all what more you want? the game for free?

Since when is the sig version the pre order version, it does not say pre orders, it says collectors/sig edition.

Very sorry if i have this wrong, but they way that is wrote i am assuming it means "only people who buy the collectors edition"
and also why not just let EVERYONE who buys the brandnew version get it? but i dunno some kind of scratch card in the case.

They did it with the first and you could get the stuff anyway when it went down in price, but now if you not preorder and today is the last day to do it you will not get it.

In that part I do agree that they are screwing people though. lol

They realize that part with the first and they will not make the same mistake from a business perspective.

Gamers that like to buy for cheap will get screwed no matter what, unless they can find down the line a SE for cheap that I think it will happen anyway so IMO there is no need to worry.

The Signature Edition was available for those who preordered the game before january 11th. And they can get it for the same price as the normal version.

And yes only available free for the people who get the Signature Edition. And I still don't see a problem to get extra content for a special edition. Better then just a soundtrack cd and a nicer cover. Give me ingame content for the limited editions too. (for every limited)

Signature Edition(or say Limited Edition?) (More content ingame and pshysically): why is it a problem to get more ingame content for a limited edition?????? Every limited edition should get plus ingame content.

Because then you would have to review a game twice, people are not having the same experience from a launch title.

All because an optional character and an optional 4 quest long questline?
I don't think so...
If the main game is long and enjoyable on its own then this additional content shouldn't modify the reviews...

still a different experience no matter how small, sorry but you just cant justify PDLC, we was getting DLC free for years and years on pc all of a sudden MS change the model on xbox1 (on a few later titles) and everyone bends over and takes it.
"dont like it dont pay for it"..i dont, just it would be free if people stopped paying, or at the very least of higher quality.

True we could say "if they was not charging we would get none what so ever" which is fair enough and possibly true, but never affected pc much did it?
But yes i should not be wasting mine and possibly your time moaning about it, but i dont think we should be praising it either..
