Finally they added much better combat that isnt from an MMORPG :P
If I wanted a combat like that I would play Guild Wars 2 (which I definitely will!)

I am dissapointed that the game takes place only in Kirkwall, its not as big as Origins, so it will probably lack different sceneries and not be as big as Ferelden.

Anyways, I can't wait to get it, if the combat remained the same I wouldn't have bothered.
Its a miracle I finished Origins lol

Better combat? Did we play the same demo? A dumbed down, boring button masher without any depth is what I played (and browsing the forums, it seems to be general consensus). You might as well put a brick on your a button and go for some coffee for all the difference that it makes, when you get back you will be just in time for the end credits.

But then again, bioware booted all the talent out when EA took over and replaced them by drones. The DAO lead designer blog is an interesting read.

This will be the first Bioware game ever that I will not buy. On the bright side, I found a DAO UE copy for a penny so I will be replaying that instead.

So you go to another continent to get that coffee I presume, I mean 50 hours and get back in time for teh credits.

Yes I played the same demo, yes I do know its button mashing, and yes I REALLY want auto attack turned ON so I dont have to keep mashing it.

And please, dont come to me with it not having any depth to the combat because thats just load of crap.
It plays exactly like Origins, animations and attacks are just faster thats it.

And yes, I played Origins on PS3 and PC, and DA2 demo on PS3 and PC, same stuff but faster and cooler animations to make the combat look more exciting than Origins had which bored me to death (hence why I said its a miracle I completed it).

awsome comments you two. why are so many people hate this game? i enjoyed the demo more then DAO. the combat gameplay is so much better than in DAO. some gamers nowadays are strange, they want somthing new and different and when the game changes the hate it??? wtf

They think they strayed away too much from Origins gameplay, which is nonsense.
Gameplay is exactly the same (playing DA2 on PC now, and its fantastic!).

But the level designs, dungeon designs....etc. is very similair, barely any difference unlike Origins, and thats one thing I hate about DA2.
Origins had like old ruins, various designs of locations, snowy mountains...etc. this one is only in Kirkwall so any dislikes for those type of stuff, I agree. (I am not super far in, but so far its decent interms of level designs).

yeah i heard about the level design and that you are mostly in one big city but that dosnt bother me that much because for me STORY and GAMEPLAY are the important things in a RPG. i heard the story is very good and finally the main character talks. i hate mute people in games but thats just me :)

WEll in RPG its really boring to be in one big place with minor small various locations.

For me I want many big various places to explore that is very different from eachother, fresh atmosphere and feel and vibe, im not getting that much from DA2.

Lols, combat is good yes, but very repetitive and gets a backseat almost imediatly and you start to play auto combat like Origins, only this time they took out the finishers and there is no option to play auto like Origins neither lols.

In my opinion they tried to do a ME2 here only they didn't acomplished while ME2 is a masterpiece game this is a dumbed down more flashy game with no substance.

Will buy it though in a year or two.
