SQUARE ENIX ANNOUNCES DRAKENGARD 3 FOR NORTH AMERICA
Company’s Action-RPG to Bring Dragons and Epic Combat to the PlayStation®3 System in 2014

LOS ANGELES (Oct. 9, 2013) – Square Enix, Inc., the publisher of SQUARE ENIX® interactive entertainment products in the Americas, today announced that its action (RPG) Drakengard®3 will be coming to the Americas exclusively for the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system.

A prequel to the original Drakengard, Drakengard 3 transports players to a medieval world where six goddess-like sisters known as “Intoners” have brought peace to the earth with their power to manipulate magic through song. Harmony is disrupted, however, when the eldest sister, Zero, attempts to murder her younger sisters with the help of her dragon companion, Mikhail. As the story progresses, players find themselves in a battle to unravel the mystery of Zero and learn her true intentions.

Featuring the series’ signature brand of action, Drakengard 3 pits players against hordes of fiends and foes in remorseless hack-and-slash ground combat, and then sends them soaring for pitched aerial battles on the back of Mikhail.

Drakengard 3 will be available for $49.99 next year on the PlayStation®3 system and for digital download on the PlayStation®Network and the Square Enix Online Store. Starting today, players can pre-order the game at the Square Enix Online Store.

Yo, that lady has a flower for an eye.

I remember knowing these games were made by the Nier people, but this one isn't by them. These games have quite the cult following, right? Never played them.

Now this is by the Deadly Premonition devs, which is interesting.

Are you sure? Because I'm sure the first game was about this dude who had a love affair with his sister...and he also flew on a fire breathing dragon.

I was right. The first game did have a incest love story about the dragonriding main character who had a love affair with his sister.

Incest? Wtf. Odd thing to address in a medium like video games. Seems unnecessarily awkward for a game about dragon fighting...

You must not watch a lot of anime. "My Little Sister Can't Possibly Be This Cute" for just one example.

I'm guessing you end up on some government watchlist if you download/buy that series, if not you should.

Why do people even freak out about "incest" when they're mass-murdering people in video games all the time left and right?

There's a huge gap between continually stabbing someone with your sword and killing people.

Quite the contrary. Haven't been watching enough. Never got around to watching the last season. It's a mistake I'll soon correct though. Now if I could only find my turtleneck...
