Video PS4

The February update dropped yesterday weighting in at around 700MB which adds an extra tracks and 5 new cars. Kobago is located in Japan, it's very different from the other Japanese tracks as this track is much thinner and technically more depending. Anyway, I recorded a clockwise race during the day and the counter-clockwise race in the wet with.

These vids just further rub salt in the wound of how broken this game is. I really love the track ideas they used (looks wise) but the actual track layouts and overall gameplay (especially the awful AI) are just too bad to make the game much fun. I really hope they make another motorstorm as those games had a pretty good fun factor going for them.

No paper cutout trees? Wow, unlike some other high profile racing games.. I'm sure there are some in there. This is probably the best looking racer so far though.

Driveclub is much better than Motorstorm. Once you get used to the arcade handling and physics and you learn the long tracks it's alot of fun.

It has loads in the distance on some tracks.

Game handles poorly though, the actual act of driving is bad and simply boring. FH2 has the perfect balance between arcade and simulation.

Simply don't agree... I'd rather play DriveClub any day of the week over FH2. I feel that the tracks driveclub is more technical and way more challenging and each and every car feels different. The only area where FH2 is better than Driveclub in my opinion is the soundtrack, the Hospital records radio station is amazing.

I have to disagree bud. I played all the motorstorm games and thought they were a good amount of fun. I played driveclub almost all the way through and never had much fun at all except for a couple races. the car selection was crap, as was the poor AI and awful design choices like penalties for shit that is absurd. The car models are ok and while the game looks good, I was not nearly as impressed as many (mostly fanboys I'm guessing) seem to be.

I did love the track locations though, which makes me miss motorstorm all the more, that studio really gets the conceopt of racing in interesting locations. They just suck at making a game based on real world cars and racing styles.

except for, you know...WRC (and imo driveclub) as for you not being as impressed by its visuals as many other are, i'd say it WAS fanboysim...just not sure it should be directed at those other people in this case :P the game looks seriously stunning. and it's the first game that can look entirely real during gameplay.

Really? They made like 3 (or 4 maybe if you count PSP I think...) of them. I think we've all had enough of that series.

Considering I buy ALL my multi plats on ps4 and often call it the better machine that's a very ignorant comment. I've always giving Sony's best games props. I'm a huge lover of little big planet and demons souls for example.

And I think the reviews for driveclub are more than ample proof I'm far from alone in finding the game very disappointing ; )

Yep! And they seemed to get worse with each iteration.
