Trailer PC PS4 Xbox One

While Sebastien Loeb Rally Evo was only released a few days ago, Codesmasters and Koch Media are back with a new trailer reminding us of the upcoming release of the console version of DiRT Rally and announcing some new content. Enjoy!

There are several different countries to rally in alongside Pikes Peak (really long hillclimb stage) and different Rallycross stages.

The rally countries are Monaco/Monte Carlo (tarmac, snow, ice), Sweden (snow), Finland (gravel), Germany (tarmac), Greece (gravel, have fun driving on these stages...) and Wales (gravel).

Each country has like 10 different stages, might be a bit less or more. Some of the stages are reverse stages and some ties into eachother.

There is by no way a lack of content in the game though especially with all the cars and how differently they handle.

Maybe but I'll rather take the superb gameplay of Dirt Rally over having Loeb gameplay and extra tracks. :)

Quality over quantity.

It would be stupid if it did. Having a ghost out in front of your car at full pelt on a narrow forest road where one slip ends your rally would be not only off putting and frustrating, but poor design for a so called sim on rally. It would defeat the point, as you'd know if you're behind or ahead at all times. You have red or green timers that mark you if you are up or down on your time. Thats all you need.

This game is one the best driving experience on PC, never mind console. Eurogamer said PC and Console are identical, physics wise. I hope this an AC do well.

I haven't played this yet as I don't own a PC. Awaiting the console release.. But I've played Sebastian Loeb Rally Evo (SLRE) Demo on my PS4 and after the initial "learning curve" I seem to enjoy it very much with my T300RS. Especially the Narrowness of the stages and how they feel dangerous to go flat out (very few rally games in recent times have done that).. From the videos I've seen for this game, it seems this is going to be way more intense compared to SLRE, gameplay wise. What I love about SLRE is the Test Drive bits, which just give a very good area for you to H00n around in to get used to the physics and the way different cars handle around different corners.. Also pretty excited about the "Loeb Experience", as I grew up watching Loeb kick some major butt in the Rally scene, I'd love to re-live / experience, what it was like to be in his shoes!!
Apart from that, I think DiRT Rally is going to be my racing game (sim) of the year, even after considering Asseto Corsa and GT Sport are also releasing this year. (Just more a RAlly fan)..

I'm glad Codemaster decide to ditch the xgame shit and all crap from the last Dirt games and decide to do a proper rally game. I play this on my friend PC and it's great. Will be getting this at the first good sale I find for it.

the environments in Rallisport Challenge 1&2 are entertaining, but in Codemasters games the environments are always boring, the art direction in Rallisport Challenge series is still the best.

this is what i like about loeb too (WRC5 too in fact) they have nice narrow tracks. which amplifies the intensity a lot. from what i've seen of DiRT they seem to have largely retained the wide tracks of previous games, which i'm not keen on. a corner isn't so scary when you can throw your arse out and drift around it freely.

Been a long time before I played a rally game. Not really into rally cars and drifting. Barely do it in GT as well. But I am interested to try rally game again and see if I can enjoy it with a controller. 60fps is a big thing for sure, gfx are also decent.

I just only play for like 20 minutes in my friend's PC, but what I play is nothing like you mention. If you try to trow your arse freely you will get punish for it. Never feel the tracks and its corners were wide.

Well, then, you'd be wrong. I've played Dirt a lot, and the tracks are narrow, and it's definitely tense, especially at night. If you misjudge a corner in any way, you run the risk of ending your rally, not directly as a result of killing your car, but hitting the lights which results in a complete blackout.

It's the best pure rally title out there, and that includes Richard Burns.

well they don't look narrow...in fact i'd go as far as saying they look wide as fuck!

then again they always have been. codies have always been afraid of making the tracks narrow for some reason.

I'll reiterate what I said. I've played the game, and you're wrong. Not every single course in real life has narrow tracks the width of the car, as you seem to be alluding to. The Finland stage in the game certainly isn't "wide as fuck" either. It's as wide as it should be, the same with the French stages, which use normal roads. Some stages widen and narrow at certain sections of the course, and the co driver alerts you to it.

Mr White don't bother. You have two rally fans telling him it's good, being positive and he still wants to throw his shit around. If a game doesn't have to do with Uncharted Korny isn't interested.
