Video PS3

Many people have asked us for a high quality video of Killzone 3. While uploading it our encoding PC crashed, but I managed to salvage at least the beginning. So while waiting for the full file, here is a bit more than one minute of Killzone 3.

Both the graphics (love the snow, water around 1:00) and gameplay (jetpack, player movements) seem to be improving a lot compared to K1. I'll already put 60 euro aside for it :)

BTW, great updates on gamersyde during E3 ! A big thank you to the team behind it.

Absolutely stunning! Improved in every way. Can't believe how much more, visually they managed to squeeze outta the PS3, everything is so sharp. Cannot wait to get my hands on this.

1. Fix the MP by removing the shit class called "Assault class".
2. Remove RPGs, grenadelaunchers
3. Bigger maps so one team can't spawn kill throughout the entire match.
4. Very responsive and tight controls
5. Improve damage hit detection, increase it so it doesnt take x10 shots to kill someone (unless there is a headshot, that sometimes take a few shots, WTF?)

Fix these in the Multiplayer part and the game will be fantastic!
Those issues ruined most of the experience for me in KZ2.

Also, thank god for variety in bright colors!
Arctic sceneries, jungle, space...and more?

One thing GG has always done right is to capture that fantastic atmosphere of a uncharted hostile planet, great stuff...and music *shivers*

Yet ironically, some sites have mentioned K3 was looking worse than K2 due to 3D. Looking at the videos, can't say I can agree with them.

i DO think this looks amazing. The crashing waves of the ocean's most impressive.

The only thing i'm slightly disappointed with is the jetpacks look to be very limiting..used mainly for longer jumps rather than exploring the stunning levels - which i guess arent as open as the impression they give.

Consider me impressed that there's as much color as there is for snow levels :) They did a good job of working in some contrast.

when it comes to Killzone me and Sath can't agree more. Fix those problems and this game is gonna be a giant pile of win. I'm really looking forward to seeing some other levels besides the snow stuff.

Game looks nice so far,the only thing that makes me always get a bad feeling are those shitty PS3 controllers !

I still feel the xbox ones are better to play games ,especially FPS !
Guess it's just a matter of habit.

Hope the put some move controls in,could be good !

Guerilla Games have already addressed a lot of these issues recently in an interview. They are completely updating the whole game, especially the controls. Check through the UK PS Blog for the interview.

I have only heard that they decided to fix the controls to make it more responsive which is great, and bigger maps.

But I havent heard anything else.

Although I am a big fan of Killzone 2, I never thought of the graphics as being amazing. Neither do I think Killzone 3 looks amazing. It looks very good, but compared to some other games (no, I'm not mentioning them because of flame wars), the textures are a very mixed bag. It's the post-processing that makes it look better than it is (blur, dust, etc.).
I will get this game day 1 because I love the Killzone universe, but not because of the graphics.
the post processing effects count though.. you act like the fact that they are there makes it less good looking? Full motion blur + post processing + ridiculous lighting and crisp 720p = win. And the textures are not bad, i don't see where people are getting this from.

This goes all the way back to the Killzone 2 beta for visuals.

"But have you seen the mud textures!?"
http://ps3.psu.com/media/killzone-project-/killzon...

LOL :)

The game has great textures and bad, like any other game out there.

The reason why some people dont seem to think Killzone 3 is amazing anymore for its visuals is because they DONT need to overhaul visuals anymore.
They will tweak the visuals from their existing engine to make it look better and push the visuals further.
It is like Gears of War going to the sequals. They will tweak the engines for better stuff.

However this is a good thing.
Killzone 2 has fantastic visuals, they can tweak it here and there, but what really is the main thing is that now they can improve the actual gameplay and features!

PS. I still can't get enough of the big waves with the water, crazy waves and splashes.
Again GG are so talented to create such atmosphere with hostile like feeling

I wish I could try it in 3D just to see how it is like :(

Gfx is not at all problem of this game. It already looks amazing lol. They will polish it before release. I am KZ2 fan but they will want to please others and make more fans. Competition is very tight these days with so many shooters.

I agree, killzone 2 already looks so damn good they have little need to make it look any better. God that lighting is just so great

I'm really happy that GG was smart enough to realize the graphics are good enough and to focus more on making sure the levels are now more open and the gameplay is more tight and responsive.

I'm hoping they still have a couple aces up their sleeve like Co-op and new MP features. Some kind of firefight/horde mode game type would be a fantastic feature to add to make the game more competitive w/ other AAA shooters.

Either way, I very excited about this game and it sounds like GG are making a lot of really good decisions so far.

actually once you get used to the controllers, they are spot on...for aiming and shooting, the ps controllers are better in my opinion. I remember playing timesplitters on the ps2 and loved the controller.

Xbox 360 is fine, i think it all comes down to how much you play, after a few hours..the controls should pose no problems for any game on any console..we're humans..we adapt, we learn, we deliver!

That's just the problem, with KZ2, I NEVER got used to the controls. The second I thought I had it, I would find myself fighting the damn things. I would never say the PS3 controller is better than the 360 one, but I think it is a preference. That being said, I just don't feel the Ps3 controller is designed as well( triggers come to mind), nor has the fine control( the 360 "deadzone" is much better, IMO)...
